Levi's Women's Straight 505 Jeans

Everyone here is saying these are fake. They are not. I have been to Macys this weekend, and tried on a bunch of Levis models, they are all like this - very stretchy and tights-like. Their standards lowered. Women are supposed now to wear these tights! What can I say Levis? I just ordered Wrangler jeans, which have 92% cotton.PS: I also tried on several mens’ jeans, and they are made from high quality denim, but unfortunately my figure is too curvy for them.Speaking about these pants, they run super large. Go two size down. I am 5’8 and 150 lbs and 27 is veeeery big. Also, it’s not light wash color I was hoping to get.Update: wrangler turned out to be like this 😪

I have been on a search for jeans that fit my naturally curvaceous bottom and hips on my 5'7", upper 40's mother-of-4-youngsters, generally size 12 Long/Tall body. I tried on Riders by Lee Indigo Women's Relaxed Fit Straight Leg, Lee Women's Relaxed Fit Sraight Leg, Levi's Women's 505 Straight Leg, and Levi's Women's 525 Perfect Waist Straight Jean through Amazon's Prime Wardrobe program. None were free or discounted, I am purchasing my favorites at full price. These are my insights on these jeans:Riders by Lee Indigo Women's Relaxed Fit Straight Leg, Patriot Blue, size 12 Long - my favorite; my new number one jeans. They are true to size; a 12 fits comfortably. These are mid waist jeans, sitting at my belly button in the front. It fits well over my curvy bottom and hips without gaping at the waist in the back, although the mid back comes up nearer to my actual waist so that it covers my bottom without showing anything if I bend over. These are also a truly relaxed fit, they drape nicely but don't cling to any part of me below mid hip. In the past I have regretted purchasing regular length as they generally become highwaters after a wash or two. I ordered the Long, which are REALLY long - almost two inches too long. They are also a nice heavy, traditional denim (99% cotton, 1% spandex), which is a bit scrachy and stiff at first, but softens up very nicely after washing. The heavy denim feels so much better in the long run, as they don't stretch out throughout the day and start sagging. And, I like that they don't have the weird whiskering at the hips which just make my hips look even bigger, nor do they have the sanded thighs that make my thighs look bigger. For those who care, these do have real, hand depth pockets in front. Wonderful jeans for 40+! I love these!Lee Women's Relaxed Fit Sraight Leg, Authentic Nile, size 12 Tall - these are not a good fit for curvy with a bottom. They are true to size and very soft. They fit fine over my curvy bottom and hips, but left a three finger gap in the back waistband. The front waistband is higher than on the Lee Riders, I would consider these close to standard high rise which sits up at my waist. I do like that they don't have the whiskering and sanding, but the Authentic Nile are an odd aqua blue, not a true indigo blue. And, again, I ordered the tall, which is long, but only 1/2 to 1 inch too long (prior to washing), so I would definitely keep tall in these if I were keeping them. These are 92% cotton, 7% polyester, and 1% spandex, which feel a lot more like I would expect pajama jeans to feel than traditional jeans. And, along with the gap, I am concerned they will sag as the day progressed, eventually hanging off my hips, so these are not for me.Levi's Women's 505 Straight Leg, Sleek Blue, size 12 Long - not a good fit for curvy with a bottom. These are true to size, but are not relaxed (they fit much closer to my thighs). The waist is a bit stretchy, but still has a 2 to 3 finger gap in back. And, unfortunately these have whiskering which make my hips look wider and sanded thighs which I don't like. They are 99% cotton, like the Lee Riders, but are slightly thinner and softer before washing. I ordered the 12 Long, which is comfortably long, leaving an extra 1/2 to 1 inch (prior to washing). Theses have a mid waist, sitting right at mid belly button in front. Unfortunately these are also the lowest cut in the back, and with the gap, creates a plumber crack look when bending over. Definitely not for me.Levi's Women's 525 Perfect Waist Straight Jean, Bear Creek, size 14 regular - okay fit, but not my favorite. These were the only jeans I had to try on the 14s, so these run a bit small, particularly in the hips and thighs (according to other reviews it may have to do with the color, the 12s were very dark (Darkest Ace), which many said run smaller). They sit well in the back, high enough, but without a gap, and sit at low mid waist in front, coming to the middle of my belly button. These also have the whiskering, but it is less visible on this faded color of denim. The Bear Creek is 99% cotton, 1% spandex, and very comfortable. These are my second favorite of all the jeans I tried. I am torn as to whether to buy them or not - I do like the fit and feel, but at almost twice the price of the Lee Riders and requiring a larger size, I'm not sure whether I will keep these or not.

I got a 100% FAKE pair of Levi's! Right when I opened the package, I got a smell of spray paint. The denim is cheap, thin, rough...like cheap jeans. I'm extremely disappointed! These jeans are disgusting in every way. The label is like paper. There should be a number stamped on the back of the button, but it's blank. The tags are not in English. What is this??

I haven't purchased Levis for quite some time. You know the jeans we used to wear in high school don't exist anymore. I would give anything for real non-stretch 100% cotton denim, cut to fit a real person's body.Well, that is a pipe dream. But, I thought I would give these a try. I wear Lee jeans a lot, but was looking for a change.I ordered the size 12-W31L32, using the size chart. My waist measurement is 32 1/2 and hips 40. These are much too big. I'm sending these back and will try the size 10. I am thankful for the free return shipping!For reference, here are the actual garment measurements: waist is 35" - the size chart indicated this is for a person with a waist of 30 1/2 - 33. (How can that ever work?)Actual garment measurement across the hips is 44 1/2.Upper thigh - 21", Knee 18", leg opening 18", Front rise, 10 1/2", back rise 15", inseam 31 1/2The only good news for me is the fabric. 99% cotton, 1% elastane. Still stretchy, but better than most today.I will return these and try the 10. I am thinking about also ordering the 8, but not sure. Worried that they will stretch out with wearing.Hope the actual garment measurements helps you decide how these might work for you.

Love my Levi’s. They help to provide the best look to any figure, but especially if you have a good or very good figure.The downside is that I noticed that these do not fit as they once did. That is, form fitting. Levi quality has continued to go down over the past 20 years with the Jean material becoming thinner and thinner, and the stitching at critical stressed points becoming more and more poor and letting go/opening after repeated use and washing over a year. No way were our true original Levi’s like this!!!That said, this most recent purchase of 4 jeans (2 dark blue and 2 light blue) provided me with good price online. On the negative, the 2 dark blue jeans were damaged from the plant where they were made (does no one actually visually INSPECT jeans being made, sewn, packed and shipped????). They had very large horizontal light light blue stains across the entire hip and upper leg areas as when they were dyed the dye was not allowed to dry before folding and bagging for shipment!!! This happened to me twice. Amazon was very good about making right on these problems. Given my treatment and Amazon making good, I would buy Levi, again. Hopefully, Kevi will fix their QC/QA problem.

Having waited for a while to receive my jeans I was over the moon when they arrived x gorgeous the colour material and style, I love the stretch in them. However, they are too big ! So I have to return them😢. I hope my new order won’t take as long to arrive !

Overall comfortable, a little loose.

I really like the colour (I got the very dark blue), material and the length. They are wider at the leg than I expect from a straightleg, but that just makes them dressier IMO. The fit quite big though, and despite the stretch they do get bigger as the day goes on. I would order one size down for a looser fit and too sizes down if you want them snug.
