This is a surprisingly great product! Usually these kinds of "deals" end up being less than expected, but this time the product highly exceeded my expectations. First, all three lights arrived charged and ready to use. Next, I left one of the lights on for more than 20 hours just to see how long it would last. After about 15 hours I could tell it was getting dimmer but it was still plenty bright enough to use for general lighting. I shut it off after about 20 hours just because it unlikely I would ever need lights for more than 12 hours without charging (i.e., setting it in the sunshine).There's no way to tell what the charge level is so I can't speak to how long it takes to fully charge. But, I did set my test sample on the window sill for a couple of hours and it was back to full brightness.The only I see as a "problem" with this product is that it comes with a DC charging cable and there's no information about what voltage/current it needs to charge. The has a very cheap looking two prong plug that might make one think you can plug it into the standard (US) wall socket. However, the cable looks it's about 22 gauge wire, which couldn't withstand 115V/15A.Anyway, I'll probably buy more of these.

Thank you Eachpole! I was able to gather some donations and purchase a total of 225 solar lanterns for those in Puerto Rico still without power sfter Hurricane Maria. They were too happy, especially since the lights were so bright and they didn't need batteries and could chsrge their phones as well.

I can't believe I got these lights for just over 4 bucks a piece! Built in 3xAAA NiMH battery pack and the ability to charge by solar or by provided a/c wall outlet cord..plus you can use 3xAA batteries in the battery compartment in the bottom of the light. Not for heavy duty outdoor use,but perfect for your homes emergency kit!

I have used these and enjoy the fact that it has internal battery as well as accept the Double A's this one has a very bright globe and seems as bright as the older LED models that I have one of them had a loose part but they twist off on the top and I was able to repair with a soldering torch works great they've been very useful to me on many camping trips so I couldn't mark it down and if I was I'd still give it four and a half Stars they seem to last a little longer then the older versions which I still have and use

Received these and 2 of 3 the lights did not work and all 3, do not charge by solar, the power bank/usb does not work or charge phones and worst of all, started the return to have 2 out of 3 explode like bombs before I could ship them back. They were thrown out because of battery acid all over it. New batteries were put in all 3 so was not batteries, one still has same batteries and only light works.

Not a horrible product, price was fair... but within a few months already not holding as much charge (not as bright). Yes I am taking into account cloudy days and I angle them toward sun for most of day. I was also disappointed to find that you can only charge via USB if its PLUGGED IN (pass through), not from the solar power. That was my reason for purchase was hoping to charge them all day and charge phones at night :\ Oh well, may come in handy hanging inside tents when camping

Electrical cord not compatible with normal electrical socket. USB charging port does not charge cell phone.....not enough power with 3 AA's. Solar lantern works great, is very bright, and lasts all night.

I bought these as an add on gift to my brother-in-law, thinking this would be just a little something extra. I mean, for the price, I didn't expect much... It turned out to be such an awesome gift, durable material, super bright, easy to use indoors and outdoors, and power friendly since you can charge it with solar and batteries! With the built-in power bank, it will work all night after solar charge during the day! Due to popular demand from everyone who laid their eyes on it, I think I'll have to get some more!!
