Great machine for the older user!
My mom is 97 and has had computers since the 1980s, but she is getting a little forgetful and her vision is poor. This computer has been a godsend. Works like a champ, is extremely intuitive, screen is exceptionally clear and everything is a one-button operation. She doesn't have to figure out what screen she needs to be on to, for instance, read her mail (a huge roadblock for her in Windows 8) - there is a column of big buttons along the left side of the screen which she can touch or click on to get her where she wants to go. To be able to do all this without my help has been great for her self-esteem.The only thing that baffles her is the power button, which is hidden on the side and behind the frame of the screen, with a black-on-black label - and even to the touch the location is not clear. I have applied a big red arrow pointing to the button... just like the one I had to apply to her Kindle Fire.

Excellent computer for seniors
Excellent computer for seniors. I am a Linux system administrator, and I got this for my mother. She seems very happy with it. She has issues with short-term memory and is not technically inclined. I love the tech buddy feature! It works very well. The only thing that doesn't work well is video chat. Spent a lot of time with customer service folks, who were very professional, but due to the recent merger of Skype and Microsoft, the Telikin video chat interface won't work as advertised. Telikin says they are working on the problem and will install an update sometime in the future. Other than that, I am very happy with this computer, and so is my mother.

Customer support spotty at best
My 76 year old mother-in-law loves this computer! She has absolutely no experience with computers so this is perfect for her. We also purchased the monthly tech support which she uses frequently. My wife is also able to remote in to her system when needed to help her if she has an issue. For simplicity this can't be beat. It's more expensive than a normal pc, but my father-in-law's pc with windows 8 sits unused as he is unable to grasp how to do the simplest tasks on it while my mother is now using facebook and email. She now is in contact with family members in Great Britain she hasn't heard from in over 20 years thanks to the ease of use of this Telikin. Well worth the extra money for the ease of use for seniors.Edit: July 1, 2018. The computer began to lock up randomly in Sep 2017. She couldn't scroll up and down the screen, e-mails would just stop typing in mid-sentence. Tech support was virtually useless by this point, they told her to change the battery in her mouse...it was wired to the computer. One young lady even got snippy with her during one call. It sits as a dead weight on her desk now. I bought her a Chromebook that she can't wrap her head around. Now she wants yet another Telikin. Here we go again....sigh.

Not much computer for the money
I bought this from the vendor (not Amazon) for my 90 year old mom in 2017. The concept is a good one, but the execution falls short.Pros: large screen, easy setup, easy to navigate, the tech buddy option is great (I can remote into her computer to help out with issues (we live in different states)), it comes with a printer, their tech support is very good.Cons: linux operating system is locked down - you can't install anything, the keyboard is horrible, cheap, flimsy, you can ONLY use the printer that comes with the computer, which is a low end HP color ink jet (be prepared to go through a lot of ink cartridges), you CANNOT install ANY other printer, my mom uses gmail for email and since the email function is an app on the computer, the app does not play well with gmail -- mom is always getting "cannot connect to gmail" because the app needs permission to connect. This would not be a big deal normally, but it happens constantly. I don't know why vendors tout touch screens as being so great for seniors .. they are NOT. Many seniors have poor eyesight and not so steady hands, making touchscreens extremely frustrating -- if you move your finger a little when touching or touch too long or touch the wrong area, you do not get the expected result, sometimes end up on a completely different screen ... I know it confused the hell out of my mom and was completely frustrating. Mouse and keyboard are the BEST way to go with seniors, unless they are already used to the quirks of using a touch screen.Other cons: this is a very low end computer, my mom has a lot of photographs that we digitized and she likes to look at ... not possible with this computer, can't attach the external hard drive and even if we could, the processing power is so slow that it takes forever just to open a scanned image. The tech buddy is a great idea but you can get all kinds of freeware software to remotely control computers. In the end, I would not make this purchase again. You may want to consider the A PLUS SENIOR COMPUTER, which is Windows based and not locked down, more powerful and cheaper.

Not sure what is going on with this company-I click on e-mail-get two notices-no message. Was told "we're working on that" several months ago. In addition, I can no longer respond to or forward any e-mail. I've been told by tech support the fault is with comcast~!! No help whatsoever. Lastly, computer freezes constantly. Am ready to throw the computer out the window. Less than 2 years old.Tech support has been NO help.

Easy to use computer for seniors and other non tech users
My husband is not computer savy but was able to manipulate this computer with ease. The only thing we didnt like was to turn on "talk to text', we had to pay 9.95 per month for this VIP feature. This VIP feature also includes phone tech support. Since this computer has this talk to text capability, we felt it should have been included at no extra cost. After paying this 9.95 monthly fee, this feature was turned on remotely within 20 minutes after ordering. Otherwise, my husband is pleased with this easy to use computer.

Ease of use and Customer Service
The computer is very easy for me to use. It has clear buttons. It's not complicated. I can use the computer without a lot of fuss.I worked with Christine today from customer service. She is friendly, patient, courteous, and helpful. I would buy the product again.
