I bought these to replace the ones that i bought 5 years ago, which recently expired. I'm not exactly sure how water expires, however.These fit well in an emergency backpack, and I've never had one leak.

Honestly, these are perfect for either. This is my second time buying Aqua Blox. Had to dump out the expired set from five years ago. But just for yucks, I decided to taste them before I watered the plants with it. Tasted awesome! Even the boxes from the BOB’s that live in our cars. So very happy that Amazon is stocking it again!!Having been born and raised in the US Army, I’m an accidental prepper. Everywhere we lived, I had C-rations under my bed, a rope ladder by the window and a BOB. Dad taught me you can last a long time without food but not water. That’s why we carry just enough water (it's heavy) till we can find more water. So my job was to swap out the canteen water in the BOB’s regularly. Still doing it today, but with Aqua Blox.

Great for emergency preparation. Containers are strong,but a little bulky.

Got these for our 'bug out bags' and they arrived securely wrapped and leak-free. The boxes are basically water filled juice boxes we used to pack for our little kids. Chose these over the pouches because of comments that the water would taste "plasticy'. I'm assuming that won't be the case with these. Once we hit the 5 year expiration mark I'll go ahead and have the family guzzle these down after we get our replacements and report back on the flavor. But if I were a betting man I'd bet that the water would taste just as clean and flavorless as what comes our out water filter. Happy customers so far and will update review if we ever have to use them. Might not matter by then though because there won't be internet or Amazon. Glad we have these just in case. Very happily prepared customers!

I like having this product as a way to feel a little safer if I can’t get to water.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson’s bug out bag. It is the perfect size and easy for him to insert straw without spilling. Also great for hiking with him.

I got these to replace the ones I had in my car as my emergency water supply. Those had been there for 8 years. Which I think is 3 years longer then they're supposedly good for. Of course, I had to try the 8 year old ones. And they were fine.

Advertised as "5 year shelf life" but received a case that will expire in 4 years.I didn't deduct stars for this, because the info is right there in the description, but keep in mind this is only about 1.5 gallons of water. So, the product is either for those who are really sure they need this specific format, those who don't care about the extreme premium they're paying versus other emergency water needs, or for that performative-prepper-conspicuous-consumer who is all about the social media posts. I chose this format because we don't have a lot of space. The case is a little bigger than 11" x 13" x 5", for those who are trying to cram a good emergency supply into a small place.
