I bought this to use only when occasionally traveling, but after testing it it’s now in continuous service.It was super easy to program (despite some other reviews) and it was also really easy to use the manual dispensing function to determine how many cycles to program in to match my strict feeding quantity.My cat had no issues eating from the dispenser either. I didn’t expect him to, but you never know with cats.The best outcome is that my cat now expects the dispenser to feed him—rather than me—so there is a LOT less begging between feeding times! I love this unintended benefit.The only drawbacks to this unit are: 1) the black section of the reserve that makes it look like a little robot. I think it’s kinda dumb, so I’ve rotated the top so the black part is on the back and doesn’t show. And 2) the low food warning light is on the back, where it *doesn’t* show, so what I thought was detritus from a couple feedings was actually just the little bits that got dispensed when the hopper ran dry. No wonder there was lots of begging then. Still, giving this five stars as those are minor quibbles (kibbles?) and to cancel undeserving low scores by buyers who couldn’t figure out how to program this simple machine.I highly recommend this product.

I love that I can now sleep in instead of waking up every morning to feed my baby boy. This automatic feeder was purchased so I could take a weekend trip without worry he wouldn't be fed. It has worked wonderfully since. It came packaged just like the pictures, all parts were in the box, nothing broken. The reservoir holds a good amount of food. Instructions were good enough to set up but I had to do some googling to figure out how to divide his half a cup feeding into 4. I eventually dropped it down to 3 because I noticed left over kibble in his bowl after the last feeding. He isn't becoming a fat cat and is being fed regularly without me having to wake up to do it.

I purchased this to better portion my cats' food since one of them is a little heavy. I have it set to dispense 1/4 of their daily allotment every 6 hours. It lets you set up to 39 different portion sizes so with a little trial and error, I figured out how many servings to set at each time slot. You can easily turn on-off any of the 4 dispense times. Overall, it works great and I'm happy with the purchase. Just a few things they could improve. There is a little drop from where the food comes out into the dish and that spilling sound is very loud. Rotating the head vs. the body can be a little bit of a challenge when refilling the repository. It's hard to get a good grip on the head. And my main gripe, all the numbering whether you're setting time or servings etc... is one way. So if you want to set 39 servings, it starts at 1 and you have to press the button 38 times, you can't go backwards and holding the button down to keep scrolling doesn't seem to work either. Not a major issue though...

The media could not be loaded.  Like clockwork, my cat wakes me to feed her at 5am every day regardless if I’m off work, a weekend, I’m sick.. it just didn’t matter. The starvation meows would begin. She’s almost 12 yrs old and with the passing of our dog we decided to get a feeder to see if it would work for us. After doing a little research on Amazon we decided on this one. I was a bit skeptical at first because it took our girl almost 2 weeks to realize the feeder was now her, well, feeder. So patiently I’d still get up with her and “ignore her” near the feeder. She soon caught on and now runs for it at the first sound of it realeasing food. I’m quite impressed with how long it lasts with food inside. I’d say it’s been almost 2 1/2 weeks since I first filled it and there’s still food in it. I’m going to fill it up before it runs out to keep things running smoothly.On a side note....at first I felt a little guilty losing that time with her. I truly enjoyed the “bonding” time. But now it’s actually better. I still give her fresh water (after I sleep in on my days off) and we still have lots of lap time. I’m not as bad a mom as I thought I would be. Now she doesn’t scream at me to wake up or the second I walk in from work. It’s actually nice. She still greets me but not with the urgency of starvation. You cat mom know what I mean.The only issues I personally had was trying to figure out the proper dispensing of food portions at feed times. It took a bit but got it. Otherwise, programming it was simple enough. Also, the lid where you add the food sticks a bit at first but it became easier pretty quickly.If you looking for an automatic feeder this is definitely a great choice! No regrets at all! Reasonably priced, holds lots of food, easy to program, no concerns with safety for my girl, and she hasn’t figured out a way to steal any food.

This feeder does a fine job. I like that it runs on batteries or Plug in. If you are someone who uses the instructions for a product, you may find it lacking in that way. I thought it was pretty easy to program. The only thing I don’t like is it does everything in 3. It gives three times the food I program (all at once) and repeats the message I recorded three times. Knowing the food amount, I adjusted accordingly. It has reliably dispensed food since I started using it. It is not my intention to use this full time, I bought it in a pinch when I went out of town and my cat sitter was unavailable. I wouldn’t use it as an everyday feeder.

So far so good. A significant upgrade from my last auto feeder for half the price. I like that it has plug-in capability and not just batteries. So far a very very Decent product for the price. Easy to program and after two weeks it has worked very well.Good product. Great price. Easy to program. If your cat has a chronic eating problem this helps take the pressure Off the owner. Makes the cat less anxious with the owner about being fed all the time. My fat kitty is losing weight and not angry at me.
