Beautiful purchase.

This book is full of deep dives on geeky details from Wright’s long career. At times the text is a little too art-historian focused, i.e., maybe a little too meticulous in showing the proofs of their theses. But that’s not the problem.The photographs in this book are tiny, and dark. The choice was clearly made to commit to a particular methodology of text-and-picture layout, resulting in about 30% of pages left half blank, and photos severely shrunk to fit. I’m sincerely pulling out a magnifying glass for some of these.I can only guess at the logistical complexities of putting together a book like this, but I frankly don’t care. This is exactly the type of book I was looking for, these are exactly the photos I’d like to see and this would an absolute gem if only they had taken advantage of the generous page size of this hardcover coffee table size book. Instead I’m squinting to make out the very details the essays purport to address.

Cool coffee table book. Just a good read on all his older sketches.

Beautiful book, although the buyer should be aware that this is more apt for ARCHITECTS and engineers, and not mere fans of the aesthetic. I ended up giving it to my dad, who -being an architect- enjoyed it more than I could. Not an art/coffee table book, but rather, an academic/technical piece.

In order to connect the dots regarding the designing mind of Frank Lloyd Wright, this book has it all. This highly illustrated and comprehensive study is crafted like performance art. Form does follow function and the evolution of Wright's professional vision has become legend for the ages.

We saw this exhibit in person and didn't buy the book at the museum. This book really represents the exhibit and I'm so glad we have the book to cherish the memories of the exhibit. Both architect enthusiasts and non would enjoy!

This book is beautiful. It has many drawings instead of just photos which is nice.
