I think price is a bit much. I would have bought more if it wasn't so expensive.

They fit well and provide a nice appearance. The quality are better than expected.

Purchased these pants when I decide to umpire LL baseball. The pants are in the second season, and are holding up quite nicely. They are big enough in the legs that you can wear shin guards underneath, and you don't sweat buckets. The pants are comfortable to wear, function perfectly, and look great. The waist band is very flexible so getting into and out of ump stance is not uncomfortable on the love handles. I am actually looking into purchasing another pair of these so I can have two pair to utilize during the baseball season. One side note, the pants did show up quite long, so I had to hem the legs up, not sure if this standard for the product, or if it due to me being bowlegged.

These pants fit really well. They needed to be hemmed up, but that was easy to do because the fabric is high quality and easy to deal with. They are roomy in the legs and allow for equipment under the pant legs. The pleats in the front help with comfort when squatting. The belt loops are perfect size for any regular-width belt. They hold up great after washing. The color is exactly what umpires need to wear. The weight of the fabric is heavy, but it breathes well in the heat. We are in Ohio, and it can be really cold or really warm, depending on mother nature. The pants work well in any temperature.

Didn't notice they come in need of hemming. Cost another $43 to get them ready to wear.

Best umpire pants I’ve bought

So far, so good. I've only worn these for about 6 games but have found them to be very comfortable. I'm one of those who can wear a 38" or 40" waist pant depending on the manufacturer, so I purchased the 38" pants with the Expanded Waist. They fit perfectly with room to expand if I gain wait while not being too loose if I were to loose a few pounds. And I love the wide waist. I had the pants hemmed locally and the seamstress I used was 'surprised at the quality' of pants that umpires wear. The only reason I haven't given them a 5-star rating is that I haven't had them long enough. If they last I will update when appropriate.

The comfort fit waist and huge legs will give you plenty of room in the pants, even with all your gear on. I guess it's cheaper/easier to sell one length of pant and leave it to the customer to hem themselves. This cuts down on inventory and production cost and allows the savings to be passed on to the consumer. However, there is still some cost involved in getting the pants hemmed after you receive them. Fortunately, my wife is pretty handy with a sewing machine, so this didn't pose much of an issue for me. I probably would have still preferred to buy them already hemmed, though.
