Classic Wood Carpenter's Folding Ruler - 2 Meters - SAE & Metric Markings

This thing is great. I use it regularly for measuring plant heights and diameters. I love the fact that is has both metric and imperial measurements and goes in both directions. I use it outdoors for hours a day, multiple days per week, and I'm always folding it and unfolding it and it hasn't broken yet, even with so much abuse so I am pretty impressed with its durability. Great tool.

Exactly what I needed, however it is a little flimsy and I plan on purchasing a better one in the future.

Inexpensive alternative, and sturdy enough for home use. We are laying out patio plans, and using multiple folding rulers has helped us visualize the layout. Will use them again as we plan a major kitchen renovation.

This is flimsy and has awful stiff hinges. I found my last one at Restoration Hardware, I'll have to go back to find it again - superior hinges and not flimsy at all.

Measurements are accurate, and folds down to a reasonably compact size. Bit bigger than I was expecting so not quite pocket sized. Dont think I'll get as much use from it as I was expecting, but for the price and what I could use it for, not worth returning.However, if you do a lot of measurements, and a usual tape measure is too flexible for you, then this is what you need.

These are okay for the price. They are 8" long instead of the normal 6" long.

A lot of people don't know these exist. So handy to use, and folds small. I ever brought one for my young grandson and he loves it. I have had one for over 50 years that is still going strong.
