Q: Will this fit a standard size campground picnic table?

Yes it will fit over a standard picnic table. But if it rains you are in trouble. We bought this exact Pamapic gazebo and the also Clam Quick Set Venture. We also bought enough of the side wind/rain panels for each gazebo. Rain does come in across the top edge of each side panel of both brands. The roof is waterproof but the sides are mesh and so the water comes in, even with the panels attached. This is because there isn't anything across the top edge to deflect water to go OVER THE TOP EDGE OF THE WIND/RAIN PANEL and so instead the water just runs down BETWEEN the mesh screen and the wind/rain screens. If I was to do it again I'd get the Clam Quick Set Pavillion Camper 12.5x12.5 because the side wind/rain panels are attached to the gazebo so no water will enter the tent. The 'Clam Camper' runs about $480 complete with side panels and a floor. The 'Pamapic' is $260 without a floor or side panels. But you really need to get 2 packages of the wind panels at $70 each so add another $140 to the $260 for a total of $400. So the Clam Camper is $80 more but it has attached screens so no water leaks and a separate floor. Otherwise the Pamapic is wonderful. I think that the Clam was slightly easier to put up and down but that could be because it's smaller than the Pamapic. But again yes it should fit over a standard picnic table. Most picnic tables are 6-7 ft long.

Sorry. I have a different model. Mine does not have the separate roof.

Q: Can I use this on a patio? Or do I have to tie it down?

Yes, you can use it on a patio.
