UPDATE: After contacting the company, they sent me a new pad and controller, free of charge, and let me know that the heating pad has a 3 year replacement warranty. As a result, I updated my review to 5 stars. Let's hope this one lasts a good, long time of good use.-------------------------------This heating pad worked extremely well, providing very good, deep heat that was excellent for relieving the pain and stiffness from my various physical problems (I am a disabled combat veteran who has suffered a number of injuries from my combat and military service). When I bought this heating pad, I was extremely happy at how effective the far-infrared heat worked—it was much better than any other heating pad I have owned. So, despite the cost (I paid $125.01, which is the most I have spent for an electric heating pad by far), this seemed like a very well-worthwhile personal health expenditure.However, ordinary, much less expensive heating pads I have had last for at least 3 to 5 years before they stopped working regularly, and usually at least a year or so after that before failing completely. That's expected, given how electronic heating pads function with electrical resistance creating heat.But we received this and started using it at the very beginning of September 2021, and it failed on January 13, 2023—not even 16.5 months of usage. We use this 4–5 times per week on average, for sessions of about 30–45 minutes at a time. We treat it very carefully, don't lay weight on it, and it is outwardly in the same condition that it was when we received it.However, now, for no reason whatsoever that can be fathomed, yesterday it began losing temperature and would not get above 100 degrees F. Today, it got to the 130 degree range for about 3 minutes and then the temperature dropped to the low 100s again and stayed there. I tested the cord with a multimeter and it is getting full current through it, over 120 volts easily. Everything there checks out.So, apparently, the heating wires inside have failed, after only around 16.5 months of easy, careful use of the pad. Unfortunately, since the pad is sewn closed, it isn't feasible to try open it up and fix it. Electronic heating pads are not supposed to be "repaired" anyway, given the potential hazards for fire and such when you go into it and start fiddling with burned out or broken wires.This is very unfortunate that this really great heating pad has failed so quickly, given that it is about twice as expensive as other heating pads that last more than 2 to 3 or even 4 times as long.And the warranty on the pack is only 1 year, so it's just outside of the repair or replace window that the company has set for this device.Maybe the company will read this review and do something about that.

Terrific and very effective heating mat. Comfortable..great temperature control..well made..really like the fact that you can set temperature and time..I have purchased two of the Jade Heating Mats and they both work very well. My husband and I find great comfort after a hards days work for sore muscles. Company was responsive to our needs and very helpfu.

This heating pad is superior to the average heating pad available at retail outlets. The infrared technology penetrates much deeper and gives greater relief than anything else I’ve tried.The customer service is top-notch. When my pad failed after over a year and a half of use, without any hesitation, they were genuinely concerned and shipped me a new pad at no charge! This, of course, created a customer for life, and I told everyone what a great company they are and what a great product they have created. I couldn’t be happier with their product and service.

NOT LOW EMF AT ALL. My meter showed a very high EMF reading on both the pad and the remote.If you’re okay with that the heating pad is nice. It does take a bit to warm up.I don’t think it’s a fancy as it’s made out to be but still decent for the first 2 weeks I’ve had it.

I love this. I love the temperature range. Be cautious because it can get hot if you select a high temperature. Don't use it on bare skin. Reviewers mention the plug that attaches to the pad, being too big. It almost has to be, because of the weight of the pad. It's nice and sturdy. It is not bothersome to me, because I can place something to pad it. The pad is slightly heavy, but I have gotten used to it. You can lie down on it. Drink lots of water when using it. The Jade and Tourmaline stones are helping to detox your body. The instructions did not say that, but I did Google and found the information. The deep penetrating heat is worth the price.

This heating pad is really nice. The far infrared heat truly goes deeper and makes such a difference. We have only had this for a little over a month, but it is a great product. The cord attachment is strong and I like that it can be detached (watch the video on the listing for tips on attaching it). We use a regular pillow case to cover it when we are using it to help it last longer from rubbing and friction. Custom temperature and run time are great to have, too. Nothing makes my muscles relax like this does. Size is great - covers my whole back and then some. If you are on the fence, go for it. It is definitely not your run of the mill heating pad!

I have a pulled muscle in the middle of my back. Walking caused muscle spasms and was so painful I wanted to cry. I'm used to lower back pain as I was rear ended in 2003 and had back surgery and have had pain ever since. This pain was in my middle back. This far infrared heating pad made th pain decrease by at least 75%. Thank you so much!

The quality seems good but the plug that goes into the mat was so difficult to get in for me, I'm not even certain I had it in all the way. Still, it heated up for me but I decided to return it, too much of a hassle to put it together. I did my research, this brand seems to be the best out there and return was easy so I'd say it's still worth a try for someone... stronger? or maybe my chord was just "off"
