You’re about to read verbal destruction.
First, let me say I take the bulk of the responsibility for this bad purchase.ARE YOU MAKING TIE CLIPS FOR CHILDREN??Apparently the manufacturers are selling tie clips for the thinnest ties known to man. They do NOT even come close to holding a tie and they look like a microphone holder from a day time talk show. While somewhat of a good design idea, the back of them has teeth, like a shark, seriously I’ve had new knives duller than these teeth. They will decimate your tie with one use. I have never seen a stupider product (being dramatic), I award them no points and may god have mercy on their soul. DO NOT BUY THESE THINGS, the box they came in was nicer than the clips. Here’s some free advice to this company. Take the box money, hire any human that wears a tie to redesign them and toss em in a bag. Presentation is a small fraction, usability is key. I hope you read this and do NOT waste your money, unless your tie is as narrow as shoe laces.

Black ones: tie bar functionality without the flash!
I bought the set of three black tie bars with the spring clips. They’re very well made: the black finish looks like it will withstand years of use and the clip mechanism is very secure. My favorite feature is the color. Most tie bars are silver or gold and are pretty flashy and eye-catching. The black ones aren’t flashy at all. With a dark-colored tie, they’re almost invisible; with a light-colored tie, they’re still very discreet. So you get all the functionality of a tie bar without the flash, and that’s exactly what I was looking for.

They look great and hold tight
I lose my tie clips a lot. These are my go to for my skinny ties (max width of them avg 2-2.5”; so this width is perfect for that sternum level tie clip)
