I thought this was going to be a gimmick kitchen tool, but turns out it's actually really fantastic!
I've been looking at this for a few weeks and finally decided to buy it to try out since I've recently embarked on a "lifestyle change" in order to lose weight. I've been eating lots of salads with fresh veggies and get frustrated at how the packaged ones go bad so quickly once the bag is opened. I wanted to make fresh salads on the spot, either at home or at work where I have a mini fridge and can keep the ingredients fresh and ready to use.I have found that I can make my salad in about 5 minutes flat by throwing in a chunk of romaine lettuce with all the other veggies such as cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, cucumber, and a hard boiled egg. The size of the container makes just the right size salad for a meal. The knife slides through easily and doesn't cut up the plastic (who wants to eat plastic bits, right?) and it's a pretty darn quick process. After I pour the cut up salad in the green bowl it comes with I add salad dressing, mix and top with some pre-shredded parmesan cheese. I only need to rinse the two white pieces and wash the green bowl when I'm done. I absolutely love how quick this process is since I'm using my lunch break to both prepare and eat my meal and want some down time also when I'm done. I've also discovered that the strainer part works great to rinse my fruit at work and then I use the green bowl to pour it in for snacks throughout the day. This is a really unique kitchen tool - love it!

Just as I hoped!
I've been looking at these for about three months and finally decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I love the idea of a colander, cutting board and bowl all-in-one, especially when trying to prepare salads. My first test was on some broccoli and cauliflower that I needed cut very small for a pasta salad; it did a great job (see pic). Since I had a lot to cut, I filled the "basket" to the top and cut through each section. I had originally been concerned that my knife wouldn't fit, but that wasn't a problem at all since the plastic slats "give" for the knife. They also work well to keep the food from sticking to the knife between cuts. Since I needed more of a "chopped" style rather than sliced, I poured the contents of the basket in the green bowl and then back to the basket for another round of cuts. It took about four simple transfers and only a few minutes before I had a ton of perfectly chopped broccoli and cauliflower. I was very pleased. Also, I was glad to see that my sharp knife did not damage the cutting surfaces of the product. Super fun and super handy little slicer/chopper. I'm glad I bought it!

Great but Check Size/Dimensions
This was much smaller than I imagined. Make sure you look at the size info. Unfortunately, I didn’t. Otherwise, it works well!

Plastic junk
The Vegetable Bowl Cutter does not lock onto the bottom making it very unsafe.
