I bought this for my job as a cute way to let me know when people are coming in if I’m not right up front. It’s cute, functional, and cheap so it’s the trifecta of awesome. It’s the perfect size for a cute decorative door bell.

In our retail store, the glass entry door gets caught in the wind and moves an inch or so every few minutes, all day long which sets off the alarm sensors chirp. We used to rely on that chirp to know when someone entered the store, but now that it goes off with the wind when nobody is entering, it got flat out annoying! We tried different motion detectors that would chime in the back of the door opened, but they too would pick up on the minor wind movement and send false alarms all day long which was even more annoying! Finally, we said let’s just get some cowbells and hang them on the handle - sure enough…wind is not powerful enough to make the bells sound, and someone walking in sets them off every time. Works like a charm. Too bad we frustrated ourselves with fancy solutions for 10 years before thinking of this!

These were perfect for what I needed it for. The sound is loud enough but not obnoxious.

My husband has dementia so I hang these bells on doorknobs to monitor his activity in our home. The bells are loud enough to hear throughout my home and they have a deeper resonance, so I don’t find them annoying.

Nice bells, but the ring is too small to fit around door knob. I wish I had read the reviews someone mentioned it in their review.
