I read the reviews that said it was used or wet when others received their 4 in 1 and was concerned but now I'm assured that they're "special".It is covered in a light oil so parts don't corrode while in storage. But like everything else fish related I just rinsed it while testing its operation before putting in my tank.It's been 3 days since install and my 20 gal tank is nearly clear! I have been struggling with an algae bloom for near 2 months now and none of the usual methods were stopping it. This thing is a miracle worker!I will say it is a touch violent for my tank shape. The fish don't seem to mind it but the water is definitely churning! I do have the air bleeder at about half but I still have to unplug is when feeding otherwise it's anarchy.The light wasn't working before I rinsed/wet tested it but I figured out how to unscrew the suction extension and bulb protector and just jiggled the bulb and now it's a beaut!Now that the green is gone I'll do another 25% water change and check to see how bad this filter medium is after the initial crackdown!Satisfied customer! \w/

El producto llegó usado, mojado y sucio, lo cual en aun principio me molestó mucho. Sin embargo, lo limpié y lo puse en funcionamiento. Mi acuario estaba tan verde que no se veía nada en su interior, en 4 días está más cristalino que nunca. Como nuevo. Excelente producto.

Item was wet, broken and unusable

The filter is small so may have to be cleaned more often. The pump is good and has good flow. Looks very solid.

Does a great job. Cleared the algae as indicated. Very happy with the purchase
