The Exorcist Tradition in Islam Hardcover – 1 August 2008

I rarely enjoy reading reworked master's theses or doctoral dissertations, however, this is an exception. Here is a work regarding a field that is little studied except by practitioners in the faith itself. Works on Christian exorcism without the sensationalism are hard to come by, and finding *anything* (sensational or otherwise) regarding the operations of Islamic exorcists is like finding hen's teeth outside of academia. As one who knows traditional Christian clergy who are practicing exorcists, the parallels are quite interesting. The sections on the Angels and the Jinn are worth the price alone.
