RTD Temp Probe Replacement for Pit Boss Smokers and Grills, RTD Meat Probe Sensor Compatible with PB1000XL-025-R00 V2 (70123-AMP)

A couple of weeks ago I smoked a brisket in my PRO Series II 1150PS2, and when I was done, my wife wanted me to grill some corn. I turned the heat up and closed the lid and walked away while I waited for it to come to grill temperature. I got distracted and forgot to check for for a while, and when I came back, I found a raging fire inside the smoker fueled by the brisket drippings and an error message on the control screen. I unplugged the machine and let the fire die out.Last weekend I wanted to use the grill, but it had a temperature probe error. The fire was concentrated right under the temperature probe, so I assumed that it was damaged.I was a bit worried about buying this replacement instead of the OEM one, but it was the only one that I could find that would be delivered quickly.As soon as it arrived, I tested it by plugging it in before installing it and my smoker was happy and started working. Luckily, the smoker was still new enough (one year old) that all of the screws came out easily. It only took a few minutes to take the damaged probe out and install the new one. After everything was reassembled, I tested it out and everything worked perfectly.This probe fit perfectly, looks identical to the original one, performs just as well as the original one, and it was delivered quickly. I’m very happy that my smoker is back in service.

The smoker manufacturer wanted $29.95, plus shipping, for a replacement ignitor. Here I got two for a lot less money, and with free two-day delivery. I think they would work in just about any brand of smoker that uses the burn pot that Traeger designed over twenty years ago. At least I know they work in my grill that was not mentioned in the posting.

Our new smoker grill arrived with a nonworking igniter. The company said they'd sent us a replacement, but we were in a rush to grill, because the nice weather was about to change.So, we ordered these Next-Day, and the one my husband installed is working perfectly! (still haven't received the replacement part from the grill company). Got our grilling done yesterday, and it's now cold, windy and rainy. So glad we ordered these!

Went out to fire up my grill the other day and got the Err with the igniter light. Ordered this, and was easy enough to replace. Worked like a charm. Fired right up and ignited the pellets. Sucks that the original one on the grill was less than two years old with not a ton of use but oh well. Have a spare now since this came with two. Very happy overall with product, would buy again.

I did a side-by-side comparison with the OEM temperature probe that came with my pellet smoker and it looks exactly the same in every way. I suspect they came from the same factory. So far, these probes seem to work just as well as the OEM ones. Time will tell how they hold up.
