My plants are growing
The flexible cable of this grow light is well made. My patio doesn’t get much natural light, especially in winter, so I’m glad I can run these LED lights for 12 hours without worrying about energy costs. I’ve run these lights for about a week now and I can already see new growth on my plants. These grow lights can also be cut to the length you need (scissor marks show where to cut). There are 12 volt connectors at both ends making it easy to make two sets of lights. The seller did disclose that these lights don’t come with a 12 volt adapter and I found some on Amazon for about $6.00.I used these grow lights in a six foot plastic greenhouse and was able to fold the strip to run the light the length of the greenhouse twice. You can see the fold on the right side of the first photo. The light strip has an adhesive which I tested and found to be a decent strength. I did not use the adhesive strip because I plan to use these grow lights differently in the spring when my plants come out of the green house. This is a great plant grow light strip. I can see growth on my plants and I will probably be adding more of these grow lights in the spring. Highly recommended

No power supply
Main concern regarding this product is that in the basic description it does NOT say that you need a different power source that is not included. Its in the fine print description Idk how i thought itt would be powered but it would have been helpful to know i needed to buy additional item. There doesn't seem to be adhesive backing but this questionnaire seems to think there is.

Great value! Some soldering skill / Troubleshooting required
Stupidly good price for the light output! There are however issues at both ends that came with pigtails attached. The thin copper board is snapping where the rubber boot is. Perhaps not enough strain relief. Had to solder new connections from underneath and glob on hot glue around the connections to waterproof them. After that the lights perform beautifully.

Easy to install
Bought 2 but where did it all go? It did not take long to install both spools. Youtube video helped outline the installation process. Watched the first one that came up and it was perfect. Sticky back did not work very well on metal.. Tape was tacked down with a hot glue gun at cut marks on the tape. Amp meter shows the 5 meter strip is using 2.3 amps. Lights are bright but not much energy to generate the light. Wonder how low energy led light translates to photosynthesis rates? Too early to tell if lights improves my plant growth.

Needs separate exact volts / amps / watts power supply recommended
Connections along strand can be a bit finicky. If one is bad all downstream lights go out. The peel and stick tape on the back of the lights does not stay up well especially in a humid environment which is usually mandatory for growing plants. Also, you NEED a charger (purchased separately) that is exactly what product description recommends. Any deviation of Watts or Volts will not work. I believe it was 12v 5w, but triple check.

Patio decoration with purpose
Worked perfectly for my 10ft patio railing. Cutting to this length alleviated overheating issues others mentioned, and mounting to a cold metal railing serves as a nice heatsink too. The 3M tape seems strong, but I've only had the strip mounted for an hour or so (let's see how long it holds up)! Make sure you separate the double sided tape carefully because I noticed its easy to peel the sticky layer off and get left with a not-so-sticky layer underneath, which I'm suspecting the bad reviewers probably did wrong. Overall I doubt this will do anything for my patio garden (besides attract more bugs and maybe look cool) but if anything amazing happens I'll be sure to come back to brag about it here.

Not grow lights
These lights do not perform like the lights I have on similar setups. The wavelength for the lights can not be correct for growing. These on seedlings started on the same day as my other setup, appear to be weeks behind. They are bright enough if that’s what you want, however they do not grow flowers and veggies well. Sad because the price is brilliant. I added a secondary grow lamp to help these led’s out for now. I’ll have to replace them next season. Hope this review helps future budget botanists.

Not good.
It blinks on every 3 seconds and doesn’t stay on.
