Works as advertised. I didn’t expect the pin terminals to be included.
The converter / power supply is being used to power my new super insulated 12/24 vdc freezer. Works like a champ.

Built to last
As an amateur radio operator, I've used Samlex power supplies for years. They do exactly what they're designed to do, and do it well. With Samlex, you can depend on 13.8 VDC at the rated output. For the 1212 that's a continuous 10-amp current output, or 12-amps on a 50% duty cycle. The 1212 is 'good' for most transceivers putting out 50W of RF. For those 100W rigs, a better choice is the Samlex 1223, which provides 23-amps of current. Either way, you'll be buying a unit that's built to last.

Not perfectly quiet, but pretty good
There's plenty of power supplies advertised as quiet when it comes to RF emissions, but while most perform OK above 25 MHz, many actually produce a ton of harmonics on lower frequencies, especially below 5 MHz. TekPower TP30SWV and MFJ-4115, in particular, caused quite a bit of pain.In comparison, this PSU is pretty solid out of the box. While there are some harmonics, they are far less pronounced and do not blanket vast portions of the spectrum. So, if you're interested in low frequencies, it's a pretty solid choice.
