Expensive but worth it
Lager build and more materials make it heavier and easier to grasp than cheaper, smaller drills

Piece of garbage. Avoid.
This thing is terrible. It's worse than you will find at Harbor Freight. The price for what it is, is astronomical which is par for the course considering its a Games Workshop item. The vice part of this poorly made tool has a 4 piece grip. The reason for this is because it is not a truely adjustable chuck and is actually just a metal pin, bisected down what is intended to be the center to form more of a compression type fit. The machining cuts are so bad, that there are no equal fourth clamping jaws.. This results in a crazy clamping angle. Basically, in simple terms, your drill bit will never, ever, ever possibly be centered so that you can drill a straight hole. The imprecision of the tool is only eclipsed by the absurdity of the price. One Amazon search later, I was able to find a $12 pinvice that is far superior, has higher Precision with three spring loaded clamping arms, a nice little carry bag and several more drill bits included.Do yourself a favor and avoid this Citadel garbage. While their Miniatures and other gaming pieces are top-notch, yet expensive... their model building tools are a giant rip-off and should be avoided. You can always find and assemble a much better suited model building tool kit, far cheaper with just a little searching.I bought this on a whim and returned it promptly.

Metal and Plastic construction, seems nicer than it is.
Bought it a while ago and noticed that the holes I was drilling weren’t perfectly centered or were cockeyed. Thought it was me but then I realized the part that held the drill bit wasn’t centered (see photo). No idea if I got a lemon or they’re all like this.

It's a finger drill - not a CNC mill.
When I started looking at supplies to magnetize my miniatures, I noticed that every little hobby drill like this had the same complaint. People say that the chuck is off-center and doesn't drill straight. And yep, even in the pictures on some of them you can see the chuck appears to be off-center. I kept looking around, but couldn't find any drill where this wasn't a common complaint.I decided I should look at one in the store, so I went to my FLGS and asked the clerk to open one up for me. Sure enough, when I looked at the chuck it appeared to be off-center just a little bit. Not wanting to be a pest, I decided to buy it rather than looking through box after box for a perfect chuck. I figured buying it from GW gave me the best chance of getting a replacement if I needed to.I didn't have any magnets yet but I opened it up for a test when I got home. It was a little weird at first, but started to make more sense. When you actually have a drill bit in the chuck and tighten it all down, it looks centered. As I mentioned in the headline, this isn't a CNC mill. Even if it was all perfectly straight and precise, you still wouldn't be able to make a millimeter-precise drilling motion with your fingers. You don't just clamp it down, crank away, and let the tool do all the work. You're driving it with your fingers, so you have to go slowly and make sure you're drilling straight. Always make some kind of pilot hole to get started straight, and then it gets easier to keep straight as you drill deeperI have some magnets now, I've drilled about 10 holes in shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands. Wrists and hands are especially tricky because you have maybe a 1/2 millimeter of tolerance. No disasters so far, I've been able to drill accurately enough. Sometimes the magnets fit so snug glue is almost optional. (By the way, don't bother trying to use the citadel plastic glue for magnets, it doesn't bond at all. I found some Loctite in a drawer and that's working great.)Anyway I gave the drill 4 stars because it's a little expensive, but it comes with 6 bits (2x ea: 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm).

Works great but has limited drill bits.
Its perfect for a very limited number of sized holes. They give you 2 of each size bit in case of breakage. However if you tighten it well and make sure you push the bit as deep as you can (while avoiding losing it into the vice) its a solid bit of kit. Perfect sizes for bolters for space marines.

Well-balanced drill like all the other Citadel tools of this style, easy to replace heads and doesn't come loose.
