The main problem with this item is that everything on the package is in Korean hangul script apart from some food value numbers and the logo "since 2004" on the front of the package. The first couple times I made the soup I made the mistake of treating it as if it were a styrofoam container of instant Nissen shrimp ramen noodles. Besides having trouble getting the noodles cooked right, it was way too spicy for me when I made it. With the last package I decided to do it differently . This time I filled a 2 quart pan with from 2-2 1/2 cups of water. I added the noodles and the seaweed when the water was at a good boil and cooked it for at least 5 minutes. Finally, I added the red spice liquid. This made all of the difference in the world. It turned into a nicely textured red soup with 1" size chunks of what I think was seaweed floating in it. Now that I know how to make it I might purchase it a second time. I have one warning to potential buyers- just because there's a picture of some sort of red lobster or crab on the front of the package, don't expect to see anything similar when the package is re-hydrated.

I love to eat MREs, however this one was not my cup of tea... After eating mine it didn't have any good flavor at all. I recommend sticking to the Korean Bibimbap MREs instead of the one with rice + ramen as they are not a good combination. The taste was just awful, not recommended.

I received my product and Only had four months of expiration day left. Way too short for emergency ration. I do not recommend.
