This is my first ever slightly negative review. <sigh> I really wanted a nice little fountain for the birds this summer. I ordered a shallow birdbath and this solar fountain. I read the reviews in advance and saw a lot of complaints about how the fountain worked so well that within a short amount of time all the water sprayed out of the fountain. I figured I'd get it anyway and try to find a solution. This comes with an extender and a bunch of different heads to produce different sprays. Really cool and pretty. But the reviews were right and the water emptied out within minutes. So I simply removed the extender thingie and did not use any spray heads and it worked just fine for about 6 weeks. It just stopped working and I have no idea why. I don't have the box so I can't return it. I don't know what the life expectancy is for these things but I was hoping it would last the entire summer. I do have hard water so maybe that's an issue. I'm going to try and take it apart and see if I can fix it. While it worked it was great but sadly it didn't work for long.

I purchased this to replace the solar fountain we had for our regular sized bird bath. That one lasted a few years. This one is plenty strong. I used one nozzle at first. It shot the water up about 15 - 18 inches. I found though that when it suctioned on the bottom it was sort of at a slight angle and the water would shoot out of the bird bath. I would have to refill the bath a couple times a day. I changed to another nozzle and that was better only shooting maybe 10 inches. But again I would find at peak sun the water would end up shooting out of the bath somewhat. So I decided to remove the nozzle all together. And it just bubbles out a few inches from the fountain and no water is lost any longer.

Fun for kids. Birds like it adults lured into zen full bliss while squirrels enjoy showering in it. Appeals to wide spectrum of folks

Worked okay for first two days, then just quit. Can’t clean filter because there’s no way to open it, have had it in full sunlight with lots of water in birdbath and it does not work. Waste of money.

I use them for additional pond coverages besides plants.my fish like them too. They work great in direct sun for fountain. I also use them in bird baths. Bird bath, unless large ,you might want one with adjustable flow,not to lose water out of bowl,they spray high., or take off fountain heads n use like bubbler only. Enjoy.
