Works perfectly. Can get calcium buildup.
TLDR: Use filtered water or be prepared to clean it once a year.We have had our pump for just over a year. We FREQUENTLY comment on how wonderful it is. We use it with 2 jugs in the back shop on our garage fridge. Our new fridge sucks at making enough ice for our family, but our garage fridge was/is a workhorse at making ice. We love in the desert and go through a ton of ice.A couple of months ago it started acting like it was getting air in the line. I made sure everything was sealed, but still it would 'get air in the line'. The ice was hollow and the pump would run all the time. I couldn't get it to flow properly at all. I turned it off and we lamented we'd have to start buying bags of ice.Today I decided to take another look at it. When I pulled the parts out of the jugs I noticed calcium scale on the pipes. I filled a 5 gallon bucket 3/4 full of water and poured approximately 1/4 gal of muriatic acid in. I put both pump pipes in the bucket and ran the return hose back into the bucket.I turned the pump on and it sputtered at first. So much white tinted the water and then the stream of the pump return stopped sputtering and ran clear and strong. I only ran it for a couple of minutes. I emptied and rinsed the bucket and ran the pump with clean water for 20 minutes.I primed it and hooked it back up to the fridge. It is running as if it were brand new. We're beyond thrilled! Yay! Yay! Yay! Back to unlimited ice on hand!

When this one goes out, I will absolutely buy another one
I show everybody that comes to my house this thing. It’s amazing. To be able to have springwater and springwater ice directly from the fridge so nice. The tapwater where I live even after being filtered tastes pretty bad.

Bottled Water Dispenser Pump System 5 Gallon – Convenient but Not Perfect
I bought this 5-gallon water dispenser pump to supply clean water to my fridge’s ice maker and water dispenser, and it’s been a decent solution for avoiding tap water. Setup was pretty easy—plug it into a 110V outlet, drop the single inlet pipe into a 5-gallon jug, and connect the 20-foot outlet hose to your appliance. It’s got a strong 40 PSI pump that kicks in automatically when the fridge calls for water, and it shuts off when the jug’s empty, which is a nice safety feature. I’ve used it for a couple weeks, and the ice tastes clean—no weird aftertaste like I’d get from my well water. The build feels sturdy enough, with food-grade materials that give me confidence about water quality. The 66-inch inlet pipe (part hard tube, part hose) reaches the bottom of the jug easily, and the 20-foot outlet hose is plenty long to snake from my basement to the kitchen. It’s marketed for coffee makers, ice makers, and faucets, and I can see it working well for those if your setup matches. That said, it’s not without flaws. The pump’s a bit noisy—think low hum with occasional clicks—which isn’t a dealbreaker but noticeable in a quiet house. Also, priming it the first time took some trial and error; I had to tilt the jug and jiggle the pipe to get the water flowing. Compared to a manual pump I’ve used, this electric one’s way more convenient, but it’s not as silent or foolproof as I’d hoped. For anyone needing a bottled water solution for appliances, it’s a solid option—especially if you’re off-grid or picky about water quality. I’d rate it 4 stars: great concept and decent execution, but the noise and initial setup hassle dock it a bit. Check your appliance compatibility and be ready for a learning curve!

Dead after a month and a half
This item worked great at first, We didn't use it a whole lot but went through 2 full bottles of water and partial of 2 more bottles, Went to get water from the fridge today and realized it wasn't pumping or trying to. Has plenty of water, made sure it was plugged in still and turned on, and still doesn't work, acting like there's no power, So it's not a priming issue and it worked yesterday. Share's same outlet as fridge so I know that works since the fridge works. Received on October 18th, Return window closed on November 17th. So i guess i got an item for 1 month for $85.00. Strongly suggest you steer clear.

Saved my outdoor kitchen
The media could not be loaded. We had a freeze in Texas recently and the pipe that carried water to my outdoor kitchen sink froze and cracked. The only repair would be to run a new line above ground and along the house and then drill through my outdoor kitchen stone to reconnect water to the sink. I figured I was just going to have to live without a sink. Then I saw this product. Initially I saw one on Google search for $950. Literally the same product but it has a bucket for a sink drain line and it comes with the 5 gallon water jug. I didn’t need the drain and I got the water jug off Amazon for $25. With this $79 pump setup and the jug, I was able to get my sink working again!!! Even if this thing dies 4 or 5 times and I replace it, it’s still a huge savings from the one I saw online and a much better fix than having an ugly water line strapped to my house.
