We bought two of these shelf, one of them broken after the first day.

I didn't buy these to use as a shoe rack ...
I didn't buy these to use as a shoe rack but to turn it a hot wheel car holder. The wood is cheap and not straight. If you were to put this together for shoes I do not know how the holes would line up. I painted mine and the wood is splintered all over. They are warped hanging for my project so I know shoes would not stand up on these as shelves.

Cheap, warped, thin, pathetic
This is the cheapest, thinnest wood rack I've ever seen. There's no way anyone would buy this if they had the chance to see it first. So light you'd think it's balsa wood. The wood pieces to put together the sides are so warped, I can't even put the thing together. The slats are MUCH more thin than pictured. Maybe a quarter inch at most.

Just what I needed
Matches our cabinets perfectly in the mudroom. I have it by the door for shoe storage! Perfect!!! Not SUPER sturdy, but good for what we are using it for.
