Stern Fotografie 72 Hardcover – July 15, 2013

This is a beautiful collection of Mario Sorrenti's photos. This is going to be a classic. Get it now while you still can. I have been a fan of Mario's work for some time now. I am happy that Stern finally showcased him. Gorgeous !

1970's photography... kinda old fashioned... if you like that style, you will like this publication

A basic volume of Sorrenti's work. Well printed and of substantial dimensions, the content is somewhat unsatisfyingly thin and somewhat incoherent; the random presentation of his work without seeming editorial organization makes it difficult to get a sense of Sorrenti's development or categories of his interests.Still ... great value for the price. Recommended ... FOUR STARS.

Nice size nice photos but some of the shots can be a bit disgusting for some. It's a nice photo book but should have more girls instead of guys with fresh meat sometimes. .

This a beautiful large format book with almost no writing, just page after page of often intriguing, quality photographs. Some content may not be for everyone, as there is nudity pictured; however, if you love large format photography books, this may be one to consider.

How is this legal? Unbelievable.

This is a superb large format photobook

There's a couple of ways to look at a book like this: as a collection of artistic photographs by a world-class photographer, and as a study of the nude form as seen by a particular artist. Either way, this is an interesting collection of images. Sorrenti has his own style which is obvious in many of his photos, and he made a name for himself with some iconic images for Calvin Klein. The collection here has images from advertising campaigns as well as feature shoots for big-brand magazines, as well as an interesting collection of celebrity portraits (not all nude images, in other words).This is a rather large format book, which does justice to the images as a whole. It's not very thick, at less than 100 pages, but there's a variety of photographs you won't find in many other portfolio presentations. The nude images themselves vary from traditional to artistic takes on the subject. There's little text accompanying the images, so there's no explanations of context or intent, which is a bit of a disappointment. Still, this is a collection that could comfortably sit in any library.

Depicts a variety of styles of Mario's work. Has a mixture of subjects ranging from celebrity portraits, fashion shoots and naked supermodels like Kate Moss and Milla Jovovich with a few still life photos to boot. Some of the nudes are classic studio style while others are really random modern art concepts. He's definitely among the top ten fashion photographers for a reason. I'm glad I got this treasure.
