Good shocks but need extra $$$ in additional upgrades to have long term usefulness
For what you pay these do the trick. I used some E6000 on the lower spring perches to keep them fastened down so they don’t come loose. I also used rc4wd rrd springs in place of the really stiff ones that come with. I didn’t fill the shocks up with oil all the way because yes, they typically leak. I haven’t had the issue of the spring perch jamming into the lower collar. For the price these are a better deal than a lot of big name brands and are just as good. These went on the Injora Capra clone chassis, perfect fitAfter some time using these i have found:-the orings are way too soft and try to slip out when you screw the cap down. I am currently trying to find a better o ring. They are about 1/32” wall and 1/4” I.D. I had tried some permatex gasket sealant on the threads instead of the orings but it didn’t really work, i may not have let the sealant get tacky enough before assembling the shocks. I beleive there are some orings out there that are a better fit.-The lower spring perch does get jammed into the lower shock cap so you need to use a spacer(like an oring) or file down the cap so it’s smooth, but just on the bottom edge which seems like a bit of work. I chose the spacer since an oring doesn’t limit travel that much. I still keep the lower perch glued with the e6000, it holds yet is removable.-one shock had 3 red orings at the bottom plus the black oring retainer, the other 3 had just 2 red orings. 3 makes it slightly stiffer. It really needs an x-ring type to seal better. All in all, im still happy with these considering the more expensive shocks still leak. The rc4wd springs are still perfect.Another long term update: the little brass piece in the shock eye has been falling out on one of the shock caps. You can buy some 5mm shock stand offs like dlux fabs that are intended for traxxas shocks. That means more money spent to make these more durable in the long run. Then there is the oring thing, I purchased some that were not silicone, but I had to cut them to size and glue them (needed a smaller diameter). They seal better but the oring is probably a one time use. The 1/4” oring I use on the lower spring perch is perfect for keeping that lower seal cap from jamming. All in all, good shocks but for the price of your durability upgrades and all the tinkering there are shocks out there that have the same value with less hassle.

Tighten everything before mounting.
Check the shock assemblies and tighten everything as much as possible, after 30minutes the rod had come unscrewed from the mounting end and I lost the springs, separator shim and top spring holder piece.Im using these on a Deerc 200e and they are a huge upgrade and dont add much weight. Once I put oil in the shocks they actually rebound like they should without springs. Now I just need to find replacement shims and top hold clip or buy another set...

Cheap crap
This shock is crap. No oil in it. the e-clip that holds the piston on covers three of the four piston holes. The piston is too small for the bore of the shock. The lower shock mount will not stay tight. The collar that slides up and down the shock for the springs to perch on is crappy machine work. All in all...a waist of my money. I had to use them but will never order them again. Complete trash.

Not worth it
The media could not be loaded. Not impressed with the quality at all. All aluminum construction is nice. But spend a little more for better quality elsewhere, i will be keeping factory ones for now.
