Red Tails Model
This is a fantastic, detailed model kit, and something that an experienced modeler will definitely enjoy. There are a few sub-assemblies that allow for some customization of the model, to make this “your version” of this great aircraft.Note: please do not attempt to undertake this if you do not have some experience in modeling - you’ll be frustrated by the experience. However, if you put a few models together, the instructions included in this kit will be easy to follow and result in a great replica of this classic fighter.

Perfect fit on all pieces of the kit. The instructions are detailed and complete. Would highly recommend Tamiya model kits.

Tamiya Spitfire Mk IXc, 1/32 scale
Tamiya is one of the top model making companies in the world, and probably the brand of model maker I purchase the most, next to Hasegawa. This particular model is one that has long been anticipated. The detail and more importantly, the accuracy of this model is perfect! A definite must have - 10 out of 10 on any modellers scale - and highly recommended to me by International IPMS Champion - Wayne Holmes.Take your time building this model (Mr. Holmes projected about 1 - 3 years to do this model ~ but he is a perfectionist).Rated this toy 5 stars for fun (to build), 5 stars in educational value, but only 3 stars for durability - as this is a static DISPLAY ONLY model.

Great kit, couple minor issues
Very excellent quality as expected from Tamiya. Only two complaints. First are the cowling panels. I had extreme trouble getting them to fit and hold with out major gaps. I ended up gluing the sides on and leaving the top and bottom panels removable. Most likely I misaligned something as I haven't seen many complaints about this. Second, decals very thick. I used Eagle brand and they settled much better, especially on the wing understaffed. I agree with other posts that the up/down gear option is gimmicky. Pick one and set email that way. Otherwise awesome kit as usual from Tamiya.

Very nice and detailed model. Beautiful!
It became really beautiful. The seller sent it fast and it arrived oversea in one piece. The assembly is not easy but together, but 10 years old and myself managed to glue it together. Only if you have patience.

Good seller
The kit came well-packaged in bubble wrap with a beautiful preservation of the kit box itself without any damage. I haven't yet put it together, but the sprues are all separately bagged, have no flash and excellent detail (rivets, hinges & such).I am well pleased.

Worth the extra $$
Tamiya is top quality, you can't go wrong with these kits. I haven't started it yet but it looks more detailed than a typical model. Cockpit, engine etc. Resin and photo etched parts are included. They even threw in a 15 page color book with reference photos and a bit of spitfire history. Decals for a Polish, French and RAF aircraft. Instructions look very clear and easy to follow with good painting references. Pilot figure or a pilot standing in uniform is also included. The 1/32 scale is cool, should be a big size when completed. It's a pricy kit, but your getting alot more stuff in the box so it makes sense. One of my first kits as a kid was a Tamiya Spitfire so this is cool
