Grace: From the Booker Prize-shortlisted author of Prophet Song

Never entered in the story. Written by someone who wants to show that it's written. Boring.

I read this after ‘Red Sky In Morning’. It is set some years after but could be read in its own. I love Lynch’s style- lyrical and poetic prose presenting the darkest of subject matters. Grace is strong and a survivor carrying the hope. I sobbed aloud on the last line.

A bit disappointed Couldnt really let myself be taken

With in the Backgroud the terrible ongoing famine in Ireland mid of the Nineteenth century this novel is about hope, mother love and girl becoming a woman. Prose but sometimes poetry, a reach vocabulary borrowing from Irish English, this novel is keeping you reading to the end as a thriller would do.

Finding it very hard to get into not my type of book I’m disappointed really.
