Superbly detailed and solid build
Priced at ยฃ14.99 at time of review and there's a 10% saving as well as I write this review, I think thats a good price for this die cast model and plastic ambulance which features lights and sounds, as well as rear opening doors. This model is free wheeling meaning it doesn't have pull back and go action or friction power. The wheels are rubber tyred. My boy loves his emergency vehicle toys and he's loving playing with it along with his other emergency vehicles. What I like about this vehicle is the sounds and lights are operated by simply pushing down on the front wheels which activate the blue sirens and headlights. No visible buttons to spoil the look. I also like that this uses AAA batteries which are easy to source and replace (2 x AAA batteries are already installed) and the battery compartment is secured with a screw for child safety. The detailing is really good and it looks and sounds like a British style ambulance with the sound of the sirens, although it does have American style logo/livery on it. Opening rear doors make this more interactive for children's play as they imagine patients being taken to hospital inside it, there is some minor detailing inside too. There is clear plastic windows/windscreen so you can see inside the drivers cab. Sadly this doesn't have opening front doors. Nonetheless it's an excellent looking model/toy.The only negative is that the wing mirrors look the weakest part and could break off with rugged child play and as they are small parts are likely to disappear down the side of the sofa, the rear doors also don't have plastic windows and are just hollow windows, but I guess this makes it's easier to open the rear doors. This would make a great addition to anyone's model collection particularly if someone likes to collect model emergency vehicles or as a solid toy for kids and is a decent price to pay for this quality. It's a 1/43 scale model of a Mercedes benz sprinter and officialy licensed with the Mercedes logo at the front of the vehicle.Very impressed with the quality and brand, that my little boy has loved playing with, for hours on end.

Well made and sturdy apart from soft mirrors.
The Majorette Mercedes Sprinter Ambulance is a very sturdy toy. Well-made, with strong attention to detail. The wheels have soft, grippy tires so the ambulance runs smoothly on a wooden/tiled floor, without unnecessary noise. Runs fast with just the lightest push. The rear door can be opened individually or together, revealing the inside of the car. The interior of the cabin can be also seen from the back or through the front windows. There is a realistic sound and lights, activated by pressing the front of the vehicle down( no buttons on the top or side of the car.The ambulance itself is a diecast so it should last a very long time, even if the lights and siren have stopped working. The weak point of the vehicle is the soft mirrors. My boys( 3 and 4,5-year old ) have managed to rip them off on the very first day... But even without them they still love playing with it. And a tiny lego passengers can be taken away for emergency dealings in a livingroom... ;)Great value for money and would make an excellent gift.

Fully Metal
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Ambulance by Majorette is fantastic quality, the main body being made from metal with just small details being plastic. Such good value at a penny under ยฃ15 with lots of interactive features - flashing lights and a siren sound effect. The vehicle has some nice details too, with rear doors that open and close to load and unload patient and tyres made from rubber with a tread pattern. The toy also comes with batteries. Would make a great gift.

good van
The detail for the die-cast Mercedes is good, great how the door opens, shame the sound and light button is in the car air vent, so it is very hard to turn on, even for little hands, (the button is usually on the car itself. all in all decent die-cast model. robust for children.Pros- Solid construction-Good details- Light and sound buttons are hard to access( no noisy sound effects)Cons- Light and sound buttons hard to access
