Very solid build, doesn’t seem easy to break apart
Wish this either had a little more figures or another small build with the throne

My son loved it but it’s expensive
My son thought it was so cool the wings that shoot out the moving heads the tail sword, and there was 9 mini figures. It was awesome, but expensive. He wishes it was $115.

Pricy, but gorgeous
I got this dragon as one of my final Ninjago Dragons sets, as I decided to have Crystalized be the last wave I would collect Minifigures from. This set came with only one exclusive Minifigure, being the Golden Oni Lloyd, more specifically the Oni Mask on him. That being said, I think the Minifigure selection is good overall, as you get the 4 Golden Ninja, Golden Oni Lloyd, The Crystal King, and 3 Vengestone Warriors. The side build is surprisingly nice for what it is, and makes for a pretty way of displaying the most recent incarnations of the Golden Weapons. The Dragon itself is absolutely massive. It includes a ton of Pearl Gold pieces, and there was a Grey Technic pin that was new to me. There is a fair amount of articulation on the dragon with its four heads, legs, and tails. The only thing missing from the articulation, is unsurprisingly the knees. The set is fairly pricy for what it is, but it is also rather large. If it’s possible, I’d highly recommend getting this set on sale, but considering how desirable it is, and the fact it’s probably only going to appreciate in value, that’s a pipe dream. I’m not sure which Ultra Dragon is my favorite out of the three that have come out thus far. The original is rather nostalgic for me, especially the molded heads. However, it is very much a product of its time, and looks dated next to its contemporaries. The Legacy version is nicer looking, but has less articulation. It fits in well aesthetically with the dragons from the hunted line, but the heads are drastically different from the original. I think the new one is the closest to being a perfect evergreen design, if it wasn’t for the gold color. I wonder if Lego went the Jetrax route and had made a cheaper classic colored version in conjunction if that would have been a better deal. Outside of pricing, I only have a few small complaints. The biggest issue I have is with the wings. I found their build to be confusing, and felt it paled in comparison to the Legacy version. If there was a way to combine a flapping function with the extension function it already has, I think that would be awesome. I think the perfect version of this set would have fabric wings, with the gold crystals pieces used on the retail version on the tips. I think if those changes were made, and it was kept at the price it released at, I think it would have been a far better deal. Overall I’d recommend this set to Ninjago Minifigure collector completionists, and Ninjago Dragon completionists. Otherwise, I think there are better deals for Ninjago Dragons at much better prices, such as the Legendary Dragon from Core. The Dragons arising sets also seem quite good from what I have seen.
