Great performance and battery life.
I bought this for a non-tech savvy family member. My goals were an updated laptop/tablet with good performance, long battery life, and ease of use. I needed a display that was larger. This laptop/tablet met all of these criteria well. The battery seems to last about 10-12 hours, depending on display brightness, with a mix of video and browsing activity. It also runs phone apps well. They are typically not optimized display-wise, or user experience-wise, but they do work.Performance never lags. It's fast. This newer AMD Ryzen 5 3500C is definitely faster. My wife has this model with the older MediaTek Kompanio 1380 Octa-Core CPU and the user experience is fine, but this faster processor is noticeable.I really have no criticisms for this thing. It's a solid system and I think anyone would be happy with it. I wish I had one. My old chromebooks are getting slow by comparison.

Most powerful chromebook I've used
This was a bit of a pain to setup because it kept insisting on me using a company domain to get things going but after I got that figured out, it's been great! The initial hurdles were annoying but once past that, this is a pretty good value and it's by far the fastest and most powerful Chromebook that I've used.

Speed
It works well for internet videos, YouTube ect. Where it doesn't work is my game I play called Megapolis. It can't render the graphics at all. Takes 20 minutes to bring up the building in the city. I power washed twice. Still runs slow. It has a amd ryzen 5 and but can't render the city. Takes to long. Other chromebooks with less powerful chips render good. Only reason I kept it is because I use it for work.

Perfect for my family needs
The Acer Chrome book has been a great pick for our family. The quality and versatility is top notch on every level.Shipping: The Chrome book arrived pretty fast and was packaged neatly and carefully but I liked that they didn't seem to be too wasteful with their materials. The packaging was a snap to open and we got it all set up easily.Display: The touch screen display is sharp and clear with pretty good colors. It's great for viewing from multiple angles. The colors show up beautifully. I like that the keyboard lights up and the letters are white while the keys are black. This is in contrast to another laptop we have that is gray on gray. It makes it much harder to type and see the keys clearly. I love that the keys are laid out with plenty of room for everything we need without feeling too crowded. I like that the screen has a nightlight option which makes the light easier on your eyes and reduces the blue light for evening use.Sound: The device can have voice assistance enabled through the built in microphone. The one minor thing is that the sound automatically sounds lower when you flip to tablet mode. You may need to adjust your volume when you do so.TouchPad:The touch pad is smooth and very responsive. It's pretty large, about 4x5 which i appreciate and it definitely makes it easier to scroll and select.Touch screen:I love the option of a touch screen, which is gorilla glass, and it's super easy to flip this from laptop to tablet which makes it great for travel. I don't think the touch is so sensitive though so you need to sometimes press it a few times for it to respond.Accessibility:The Chrome book has many Accessibility options for visually or hearing impaired which is a big plus.Sound:The sound is good, even good enough for a long movie or even music! If you want a more nuanced sound you do have an option to connect to Bluetooth if you need.Cons:No stand for when used as a tablet. No DVD option. When we tried to connect to the internet it did take some time but that might be a network issue on our end. We did try it on two different networks though, both a Hotspot and at my husband's office. Average to weak touch screen response. All in all we are very happy with the Chromebook as a second computer/ tablet. It's lightweight but also of a strong quality and it's great for emails, movies, or games. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Chromebook For Work & Travel
One of the many reasons I’ve owned a Chromebook is how quickly they turn on, you’re able to become more focused upon getting to work with minimal distractions. Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 is marketed with the enterprise functions being enabled so its ready to be deployed in a work environment, you’re still able to use this with a personal Google Account. This Chromebook has a Ryzen 5 3500C which is a quad-core processor that provides a nice boost for multitasking, 8GB of memory will allow you to run not only Android applications smoothly but also take advantage of the optional Linux application environment support. I previously owned a 14” Chromebook without a touchscreen so I thought it would be interesting to see how the weight balance ratio on this Acer Chromebook would be like during usage, its a decently bright 14” IPS screen which I feel seems like 300 nits brightness as it was on par with a desktop monitor that I use and the touchscreen is very responsive as expected for a 2-in-1 Chromebook. As far as the keyboard the concave keys seem to help improve typing since you’re less likely to slide your fingers onto the wrong key, my typing accuracy seemed to receive a slight boost from the concave key design. Backlit keyboard is a nice feature however it should be expected for this price point of a Chromebook. The touchscreen is the most important feature, the responsive touchscreen is perfect for drawing, sketching, note/memos and using applications that take advantage of the touchscreen such as Android applications. The 300 nit screen in my opinion is plenty bright for indoor usage, when it comes to outdoor usage your mileage is going to vary and you may prefer sitting in a shaded area like under a tree at a park bench. The color depth of the IPS screen is very good on this Chromebook so I could sense this being more popular for a wider range of users.Speakers on this Chromebook is on the bottom like many makers, the upside with this design is while folded in tablet mode the audio is going to be pointed towards you instead of away from you. I found the audio range of lows, mids & highs to be on par with many laptops, you can raise the volume near max with minimal distortion.Battery life on Acer’s product page says up to 10 hours, in my usage of Android applications and brightness at 50% it was closer to 8.5 hrs but I’m sure with a lowered brightness it could of reached 9 hrs. If you’re buying this for work reasons or considering this for an office purchase, this 2-in-1 lives up to the Chromebook long battery life and perfect for travel usage.Build quality is very good, it actually reminds me of a previous business grade 2-in-1 I used for work, nice aluminum case and very good hinges so you’re able to use it in tent mode without worrying of wobble. As far as durability goes, my cat decided to take a nap on it so if it can handle an average weight cat I’m sure it’ll handle the rough travel life of the average laptop. When it comes to recommending this Chromebook, in tablet mode I feel 14” is pushing your luck in comfort however Acer made this very well balanced in spreading out the weight so it feels comfortable to hold with one hand. Battery life run time from my usage was close to Acer’s listed 10 hrs so this is a perfect Chromebook for work & travel. Overall for a quad-core which provides a reasonable boost for multitasking and great battery life its a worthy recommend.
