This is the ONLY benzoyl peroxide cleanser that works on my skin day one. I have tried the drugstore ones but aside from PCA this is my holy grail. I wish they sold these in store but I get these quicker ordering on here.

Initially had this product gifted by the brand but I have gone on to buy 6 bottles. Works great for my skin type (dry) and my wife (oily). Also helps minimize hormonal breakouts too.

This review is for 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Cleanser - Hormonal Acne TreatmentThis is my first time using benzoyl peroxide at 10%. I've previously used doctor prescriptions at 2.5% and 5%, and that made my skin extremely dry and peeling. So I thought this might be similar. Thus I patch tested this on my nose first, then my T zone, and was pleasantly surprised it didn't leave my skin as dry as the prescription ones. It does dry out my skin, so I do use a toner, serum, and moisturizer afterwards. I'm really surprised that it has Bakuchiol in it. Since that is a version of a light retinol. It also has fragrance in it. I'm surprised with all the ingredients that can potentially irritate the skin, that my skin is not as irritated as I expected it to be.If you're using this for the first time, ease your skin into it, by using a small amount for a quick wash. As your face acclimates to the product over several days, then you can use more and do a more thorough clean.I only use it on problem areas when I do have problem areas. So the tube is much larger than I expected. I forget how much the prescription from the doctor is, but I think that it is cheaper than this.

This works! It almost works to well! If you aren't used to being on a regime of 10% Benzoyl Peroxide I recommend gradually adding this to your cleansing routine or it will dry you out too fast. No worries though, you'll just feel a touch dry and tight, like you have a light sunburn. Back off at that point and take a day off, add back into your routine every other day, then once day, and so forth as it feels comfortable on your skin. This will clean your pores out and leave them looking tighter and younger.The formula is really nice! This has a light creamy feel and a fresh scent to it, it is not at all stinky! The tube it comes in makes it easy to get every bit of product out and it stands on its own, making it space saving on the vanity top.Would I buy this again? Yes, absolutely!

This medicated skin wash can be used in the shower effectively to produce super clean skin. Only a little is needed and avoid the eye area. Benzoyl Peroxide can be drying so also use your best skin cream afterwards. I do not feel a lot of tightness or discomfort after using this as long as I use my regular face cream. What I did notice was super clean pores! I also did not have any breakouts the day I used this. With continued use it will be interesting to see what occurs but I noticed some good results immediately after use!~The Rebecca Review

For reference, I have always had mild adult acne/hormonal breakouts, no skin allergies that I am aware of, and do not take medications for my skin. As for most anything new I put on my skin, I will typically try using it about 3x a week for 60 days to accommodate normal hormonal breakouts, diet fluctuations, and exposure to different weather conditions (dry, humid, sun, etc).I have found this to be a helpful addition to my skin routine. It doesn’t cause excessive dryness, redness, nor does it cause any sensation when applied. I will continue to use this amongst my other products, especially during periods of time where I tend to break out.

Benzoyl peroxide is bactericidal against acne-causing bacteria on the skin and within the hair follicle. I tend to get the odd pimple here and there, perhaps one in 3 months. But I also tend to have black and white heads, so my test was focused on the latter 2.You only need a pea sized amount because this lathers really well. Upon first application, it was not drying, quite moisturizing actually. But if used too often, It can definitely be drying so I would space it out. Always ease yourself into any new treatment. If used sparingly, this should last a while!.In terms of results, so far so good. It did get rid of the odd pimple but I do not use it everyday because of the drying effect. So I will report back on how it has helped with black and white heads.The smell is weird- it is a mix of detergent, perfume and that strong BP smell. I think they were trying to mask the BP smell but did not quite nail it. However, it is not repulsive enough to be a hindrance.I do love the fact that this has aloe, I guess to combat the dryness that BP is notorious for having, especially at this high concentration.Be warned though, it does bleach. I had my blue and white shower cap on and there were blue stains on my wash cloth. So please be more careful than me.
