Hard work to apply, but worth it.
This paint doesn’t drip or run and gives a brilliant white finish which appears to be durable. However, if you are looking for a one coat, easy to apply product, then perhaps it’s not for you. I have been painting skirtings and door frames, and suggest that you need follow the tin instructions carefully;- load the brush well- do not overspread- to minimise brush marks, use a suitably sized brush, go for larger, not smaller- I used a Dulux Perfect Finish 2” brush, which has fine bristle tips and covered the 4” flat section of a skirting in one pass- work quickly, using the spread of the bristles to fully cover the surface- don’t be tempted to go over previously painted sections!- definitely needs two coats, lightly rubbed down between, even on previously painted woodAlso, this paint gives a good finish on metal radiators; far easier to apply that the “specialist” radiator paints out there. Again, prepare surface well, use a large brush and quickly cover. Apply second coat after lightly rubbing down with P400 fine sandpaper. Looks good and to date, hasn’t yellowed. Very pleased.Dries very quickly (1 hour at most), re-coat in 6 hours (although better left overnight) and easy clean up in cold water. After all this effort, it does look really good with a high gloss shine.

Good paint, but not gloss
Easy to apply and doesn't smell very strongly as some gloss paints do. Dries very quickly, so a little hard to smooth out brush marks or overpaint areas. Easy to clean out brushes etc, as water based. Dries to a PVC like coating, but the big downside is it isn't very glossy at all. I would put it more at the 'silk finish' end of the spectrum. If you want an easy to apply paint that dries quickly and you don't care about the lack of gloss this is great, if you want a smooth high gloss finish this is no good at all.

Easy to apply and effective
pros - very little smell, covers well but has to be almost smeared on rather than brushed, quick drying is very white and purportedly stays that way. cons - impossible to get a fine finish, can be difficult to paint over until completely dry.I am currently repainting door frames and skirting boards in a largish house which is quite a job. All the wood has been painted by the builder who has applied what appears to be a single topcoat with no knot sealer or undercoat. The wood has been (badly) patched up in many places. I could, of course, have rubbed everything down but life is too short. Instead, I have applied 2 coats of Zinser Bin which is a shellac based sealer and undercoat and apparently stops stains from showing through. Two coats of gloss on top gives a basic but bright and cheerful effect. Horses for courses really. Professionals and perfectionists will hate it. Amateurs like me find it fine.

Only brand of gloss worth buying
Amazing gloss I've made the mistake of buying cheaper gloss previously and have learnt from it this gloss is by far superior it goes a long way lasts longer and holds the white better than cheaper alternatives wipes clean nicely value for money it is a little more expensive however in the long run will save you a lot of money as much harder wearingIt dries quickly and gives the perfect finish

Best Gloss Paint
This is by far the best gloss paint I’ve used. Crown paints are the best always and this gloss is odourless, which I haven’t experienced before now. Also, it dries quickly and paints on very smooth with a mini roller or decent brush. I use Harris platinum brushEs with this paint as no bristles lost. They are a good combination. Love this paint but would be good in larger tin and it is well worth the price! No yellowing is why I also bought it and it is for exterior as well as interior. Cleaned the brushes with warm water and soap as it’s water based gloss, which is better then using spirits to clean brushes.
