They clash, they rub each other up the wrong way but there is a fine line between love and hate
Moving to Sheet Cake was not something James thought he’d be doing, especially at the prospect of opening a brewery/bar for his Dark Horse craft beer range. Celebrating his thirtieth birthday by standing in front of the warehouse that will be housing the brewery his family have all invested in. Not particularly fussed about his birthday, he is known to be somewhat of the grump of the Graham family. Something that comes to the surface whenever Wini is nearby and as his new assistant he is prepared to be extra grumpy (to cover his true feelings).Wini has been holding off selling her neighborly app and currently finds herself sofa surfing at her brother's apartment and taking a new job with the most infuriating man, James Graham. He also happens to be totally hot but after her recent break up she is questioning her love life. Her friends tell her she sticks to safe guts that won’t break her heart.Their working relationship is fraught with push and pull of each other's boundaries. James is very defensive over his brewery, although somewhat overwhelmed by it all. Wini manages to insert herself into different areas of his life including his family. They clash, they rub each other up the wrong way but there is a fine line between love and hate.

Absolutely brilliant
This is so much fun but also in places very emotional. James is a grump who doesn't do people well and Winnie is a whirlwind, but she does understand him. The characters are delightfully human. The text exchanges and the Neighbourly chains are funny. The author has a unique talent in making readers fall in love with her characters and stories. I love the Graham family series.

Loved her style of writing!
Witty style of writing- enjoyed reading both viewpoints of main characters. The internal monologue was humorous at points and cute too. Loved the seed and it’s significance and the whole family feel of this novel. Definitely recommend, if you want to escape and unwind with an easy read.

Boring
Usually I would always finish a book even if it is a bit slow but unfortunately this book was so boring and slow I couldn't even finish it.

Entertaining and Enjoyable
The Bluff by Emma St ClairI give this book 4 starsWe return to Sheet Cake Texas (l want to live here) for the 2nd book in the Graham series.Emma St Clair creates vulnerable and realistic main characters that have relatable struggles to contend with. Then she adds everyday life, chemistry, banter, feelings, humour, animals and mishaps combined with the interference or help of family and friends in this small town. The result…..a well written, easy flowing, entertaining and totally enjoyable closed door rom com that has left me impatient for the next instalment.

A good read.
This is a well written story that flows well and has good developed characters. There are funny moments in this as well as swoony moments, it also had good dialogue. The connection and chemistry was good too and I enjoyed the family moments, the romance and oh my the animals! I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.

A cute Grumpy meets Sunshine romance
Thanks to @netgalley& Emma St Clair for this #giftedE-Advanced Reader Copy of The Bluff.Meet Winnie, she was hired to assist in making James' brewery launch successful...but more than that she's determined to find out what makes him tick ... and what makes him go boom. All this has nothing to do with the fact that the man is unbearably & unfairly attractive. Or that he lost his mom when he was young, same as me.The more he pushes her away, the more she's determined to get under his skin. It's certainly a battle of wills! And neither one is backing down..Except the more time she spends around James, the more she starts to lose the one thing she refuses to give to any man ... her heart. If you enjoy enemies to lovers & grumpy boss vs sunshine tropes you'll love this rom com! It has witty banter & some lovely romance 😍
