Wonderful product
Product arrived in timely fashion. It was very easy to set up and get started. The fogging/spraying mechanism sprays a very good distance making it easy to get up into the leaves of trees. My home is situated within dense forest and one spray application covered so well I have noticed almost know pests. It is a bit heavy one fully loaded so that must be taken into consideration if you are doing unstable or large areas it can become difficult.

An amazing purchase
This machine came very well packaged. Was easy to assemble. Started up for first time with ease as would be expected. Runs great and did the job better than I thought. Great investment for myself.

Don't be deterred by the negative comments of others.
**UPDATE**2nd season in the books and still as good as the day I bought it. Just be sure at the end of the season not to let it sit with fuel in it or liquid in the fogger tank. Basic maintenance like this will keep the machine running like a champ!Game changer. My house sits on 12 wooded acres of land with creeks and pockets of water. Mosquitoes have always been a nightmare. This year was the worst to date, you couldn't even go outside for a second without being completely dismantled. I got a quote for the remainder of the season to have a company come spray and it was just shy of $800 so I figured why not try this and do it myself. To be honest, I'm a Stihl guy as the equipment is so darn reliable but along with that, it is expensive so I decided to give this a go.To those that say the instructions are lacking, confusing, etc, you should just hire a service. I opened the box, laid the parts out and common sense kicked in. Part B goes on part A, tighten clamp. Attach throttle to part C, find single screw in bag, put bent hose on, put on the misting end, attach 1 clear hose, done.To the reviewers that said "this thing leaked all over my back", learn how to properly push on a hose and put the clamp on. It does not leak unless you do something wrong, that simple. To those that had some kind of mechanical issue with the motor, I can't speak to that. Things happen. Mix your fuel properly and like any 2-stroke it should just last forever. If you leave fuel in it for a year and expect it to work when you need it, it won't but that's on you. Some carburetors need to be adjusted for elevation, it's an easy thing to do. This thing worked perfectly right out of the box, I am in Michigan. As for chems -- in the past I have always used Talstar P and been happy with a handheld pump sprayer. Talked to a commercial guy over the weekend that said "Demand CS is the bomb". Went out on a limb and bought a bottle. 32oz for $130-something, steep.Whoa. Sprayed my place this evening at 630 and I feel like Connor McGregor himself came and knocked every mosquito out cold. Before that I was getting kamikaze bombers into my retina before I could run out and grab my latest Amazon package from the porch. It's 923pm EST and my wife and I have been sitting out on the deck enjoying a completely bug free life, yes, that fast.Should I have longevity issues with the actual equipment I promise I'll update this review but from what I experienced initially, today was worth the $399 for this piece of kit. Happy guy living in the woods.

Good heavy duty fogger but needs better instructions
First of all, I like that it’s made in the United States. It seems well made and works just like a landscaper’s backpack blower. Yes it’s heavy but not unexpected for a commercial grade blower (I’ve been a landscaper in years gone by). If you don’t have a strong back, fill it up on a workbench to facilitate slipping on the shoulder straps.Being that it’s made in the US, I expected better directions. It comes with minimal assembly instructions but not so much for operation. For instance, there’s a rubber stopper and a plastic switch on the elbow that wasn’t mentioned anywhere online or in the brief directions. I emailed Tomahawk and they told me it’s for a dusting attachmentFor fogging, I set the flow dial to 1 and it seems to work fine, with 2 gallons of mix covering mine and 3 neighbors front and back yards. I used a permethrin product and the mosquitoes have been gone for a week now. Hopefully it will continue to work well for a long time. So far I’m happy with it. Better instructions would have gotten 5 stars.

Terrible piece of equipment.
I purchased this unit as a back up to my Stihl unit. I unboxedthe blower and my first impression was it's small, and looks pretty basic. The quality was not great. Looking through the manual it suggests if it doesn't run good to turn the carb adjuster until it runs good. So after reading the manual and assembling the unit, I fuel it up and attempt to start it. After priming and choking and pulling 11 times it starts. It took a long time to run smooth, but then after hitting the trigger and letting go it died. I got it restarted and adjusted the carb as described in the manual. Its a balance of a lag when you hit the throttle vs a smooth top end. I couldn't get both. So I put in water to see what it would do. It does not blow 40 feet, 23 was the best I could get, while spraying the water I bent over and found out the lid leaks, a lot. So I took the lid off and adjusted the seal and tried again, still leaking. I took it back apart and returned the unit. Maybe I got a turd maybe its junk I don't know. I did buy the Stihl sr200 and its specs are less than this unit but it out preformed the tomahawk in distance and how fine of a spray you can get. The tomahawks mist is very course vs other units. So to recap the quality, the function and the prefomance are all pretty low compared to the Stihl unit's I have used. I use sprayers commercially and don't feel comfortable putting this unit on a truck.for.daily use.

Game changer
Have had this for about a week now and already after the first use I can tell that the coverage I am getting is way better and the amount of solution I'm using is way less to get more coverage.Amount of mosquitoes is non existent and compared to my old backpack sprayer this unit gets in all the places the old one couldn't.Have already used it as a blower as well and it worked great.
