When the phone did work, which it has stopped working and will not allow calls incoming/outgoing, it was fine, Not anymore! It will acquire text messages intermittently- for 2 weeks now. I have contacted Alcatel- USELESS PEOPLE!!!!!! I spoke with Cynthia, as there is a 1 year warranty, she never sent an e mail confirmation for the photo confirmation of my purchase, said she was putting in a supervisor call back (which could be 24 - 72 BUSINESS HOURS OVER A WEEK) still have yet to hear back.....have also attempted to exercise my Asurion 2 year warranty which I purchased. I cannot get a replacement without sending the phone to the repair center - 7 - 10 days for assessment before I can find out if they repaired it or get another. So the take away is at least 3 - 4 weeks additional before I get a working phone! Amazon is a "PASS THRU" just the order processing and will do NOTHING to address this issue either. All the links are a circular process accomplishing nothing! UPDATE - 2/28/25 This phone is sold by a reseller, the 1 year warranty is non existent, the manufacturer states it is so far out of warranty they don't even keep parts for it!!! I had 3.5 months of working phone, so now I have a paper weight, and not seeing the opportunity of any rebate so far. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM with Amazon and whoever they sleezy front company is that states support and warranty. I got 3 months of use, then a massive run around. Ordinarily performing NON Working product in 30 days is acceptable. This product however was sold as having a 1 year warranty, which it DOES NOT. What kind of re-imbursement can I expect after weeks of no phone, unanswered concerns and finally to be told it was sold by a 3rd or 4th party reseller via Amazon and no warranty exists?

The phone seems brand new. Had plastic protectors on all screens and works well. Not in original box. Only problem was off brand charger that was micro hdmi and the phone is type c. So wrong charging cord included.

Great phone for elderly. She can see everything well and can make it function. Kinda pricey for what it is, but there aren't many flip phone options these days.

I bought this a couple of times for my 80 year old mother because she struggled with the smart touch up phones , but she could easily manage receiving and making calls with this phone.

I can't stand all the new icons - it's exactly why I was using an Alcatel flip phone - to get away from junky icons! Maybe I'll get used to it but wish they'd quit changing things that worked fine before. The worst part is that it doesn't text like my original Alcatel phone. It would take half-hour to write one sentence the way it's set up! I had to go to several T-Mobile stores to find one salesperson who found a way to set up texting like before. Nobody is educated in this! And even he could not get the new texting system to stay on - it has to be done manually each time. Also there are no instructions in the paperwork for texting, so almost no one in the stores could help with it...most just said it's how it is...just live with it!

The phone is branded with the T-Mobile logo and I was a little concerned that it wouldn't work with Mint but since Mint runs off the T-Mobile network all I had to do was insert the SIM card and it immediately started working, I didn't have to adjust any of the settings. The buttons are huge and the volume is loud, I had to adjust the volume setting to a low setting because it was so loud. This is a good phone for seniors.

I bought the Alcatel 4056W about three months ago, but my daughter only started using it less than a month ago when she returned from summer camp. Today, the phone completely stopped working.There is no reason a brand-new device should fail this quickly. Clearly, this was not a reliable or properly functioning product. Very disappointing purchase.
