3-Layer Beekeeping Suit, Apiarist Ultra Ventilated Suit with Gloves & 2 Veils (White S)

I am an amateur beekeeper and just used this suit for the first time yesterday, and the second time today. It is absolutely wonderful and designed with intelligence. Very good airflow. Very light weight. Very comfortable. 🐝ing new to 🐝 keeping I was worried about stings, but 3 minutes into my first experience I never thought about it again. Very secure 🐝 suit.I am 5'8" (and a half), and about 165-175lbs. I ordered a large and it fit just right. The legs are long enough to tuck into my shoes. If I was a little taller I might have gone a size up cause this fits just right.The gloves are a good deal too big on me, and cause issues with the finger tips going past my fingers. But I have relatively small hands, so this isn't surprising. Would be nice if I could have gotten a separate size gloves with the set.Awesome that it has two veils for the suit. I haven't decided which I like better, but so far it's the full wrap around veil. Not the fencing veil.I look forward to many years of using this suit. Excellent company who made a product with lots of care and consideration.

Works great outdoors in the mountains and forests where the yellow jackets roam and ground wasps that like to bite you while they sting the bleep out of you!! I was able to go back in and prospect after being chewed up! Worked all day in the suit, packed out 10ea 5 gallon buckets of ore over sagebrush and through trees under 80 degrees in the sun a mile plus above sea level ! The suit breathes nicely! Not one rip or issue with the suit and I didn’t hold back on the labor in fear of damaging the suit while working ! I’m 6’3” and 210lbs lean and lanky! I had no issues with size or fit! . I used an xxxl pair of work gloves over the gloves that come with the suit for digging in the ground and working. It’s standard data that them gloves And bee suit are not designed for prospecting But they saved my skin from the thousands of yellow jackets crawling on me the second trip in and able to bring home some serious gold and not one sting or bite after being a yellow jacket buffet! It fits very baggy in the butt! But I had returned a competitor product for being too short in the crotch and being EXTREMELY wearable. This is relatively easy to put on, does allow for ventilation, though I’m in Texas and it’s just flat hot, no matter what. Elastic keeps legs in place, plenty of room to not be binding but I think mine is a like too big and I should have ordered a size smaller than I really wear, I think. I just kept out out of aggravation from previous purchases, but I’m happy enough with this one. No stings. I love the ability to open the veil. Lots of useful and thoughtful pockets. Manufacturing quality was just fine. I would order this brand again, if needed. I ordered the white one just cuz I couldn’t decide. Zippers operate smoothly, but watch your hair! Appearance…it looks like I’m wearing a borrowed suit from someone else that really doesn’t fit but who sees me…? It’s comfy! Who cares! Washed it twice already in the machine gently. No problems.

The suit is very breathable and light for how much distance it gives in thickness. Donning and doffing can be difficult but I think it is user error. Head protection is moderate compared to the body, fence veil needs a baseball cap to keep it off the front of the face but my jaw was constantly hitting the front when I looked down. Back of head protection is good, ears feel like I was hitting either one side or the other but overall I think that it is good quality for what I paid. The round veil is very small almost kid sized and I genuinely prefer round veils to fencing ones and still chose the fencing one that was included. Overall it was a great replacement for my old suit and I think only buying in person and trying it on would have made the experience better.

I like this overall. It just arrived today. Was a good package deal. Already ripped the carry bag but didn’t plan to use it much anyways. I like having 2 hood options. What a nice feature to include. Now…PAY ATTENTION…make sure you follow the sizing instructions on the ordering page. If you don’t, you are guaranteed to get a suit that doesn’t fit. I used the measurements. Told me a 3XL. I didn’t believe it. Until I tried it on. Really good fit. Sleeves a little long but that’s better than too short. The rest fits as it should. Good pricing for what you get too!

As a new beekeeper I have been trying to learn how and when I need to wear protection. I’m am lazy and didn’t want to take the time to put on a suit every time I needed to get into the hive but after several stings in one day and a adverse reaction, the decision was made that I really need to wear protective gear most of the time when dealing with them. After researching for days, I decided on this product because it checked the most boxes for my needs.First off I did not want a white suit which is the majority of what is sold ( white for outdoors is all around bad for me ).That narrowed down my choices by a lot so then it was based on how secure the suit was ( closures, fabric, etc.)This suit has zippers and Velcro on the wrists, ankles, and the main front entry which is super nice to secure the end of the zipper holes from sneaky bees getting in.The price point was a little higher for this suit but it is definitely worth it in my opinion and it is still less than other high end suit that are probably very similar in quality and durability. It is decently lightweight and has good ventilation.I didn’t notice any funny smells other than what would be expected from a new garment wrapped in plastic in a plastic storage bag.I did follow the sizing recommendations of ordering the size according to your height or the largest of what is needed. I’m almost 6’ but only weight 145 ish and bought an XL because I needed the length in the legs. Although it’s baggy I don’t mind because I get air Flo through it and can layer if needed. It seems to be a great suit for my needs and I am extremely happy with it so far.

very fragile seam. From my third use I tore the seams of the lining. For the size you can rely on the measurement but as for the hat it is too small for the head, our nose touches the fabric. For ventilation it is very good, especially after tearing.... For the price I do not recommend it.
