Q: What is the added layer of scrim made from?

I don't know about the skrim player's makeup. I will say this is the messiest quilt batting I've ever used in 20+ years of quilting & I will never buy it again. Large fibers of it got all over me, the sewing machine & the project & had to be painstakingly picked off.

Please don't mistake this batting for Warm & Natural made by The Warm Company in NC and WA. Warm batting will always be labeled and packaged clearly showing it is true Warm & Natural quilt batting made in the USA. Buyer beware on this stuff.

Q: How close does the quilt stitching need to be?

I chose to tie this king-sized quilt rather than quilt it. I tied every 4 inches...worked nicely.

Q: What size is 120 x120?

It's the size for a "King size quilt". Your batting and backing needs to be 6-8" larger than the quilt top when it is quilted. The quilt frame needs that excess.
