By all accounts this is a great metal detector
I bought the Fisher F75 Metal Detector based on reviews and references from others who own it. I have not had the ability to use it yet, but according to those who have one, it is very good and the one to have. I will be using mine to hunt for meteorites, which I am taking up as a hobby starting this spring. I will try to remember to update my review once I have had the opportunity to use it.

Versatile, Powerful and Lightweight
I won a Fisher F75 LTD with two coils last October and have used it once a week since then. I've had 6 other detectors of various makes and models which gives me something to judge this one against. First off this is a wonderful and versatile metal detector. It has a lot of different settings but if you can use a smartphone you should have no trouble with the F75. If, however, you want something that just turns on and goes, with lots of preset features this might not be your cup of tea. I don't notice this detector finds coins any deeper than the other high end models. In my test bed I get consistent readings at 10" on a U.S. quarter. Signals are inconsistent and faint on the same quarter at 12". It can also be a trifle noisy. The noise is due to it being set up fairly hot, for maximum depth. Turn the sensitivity setting down and the chatter will diminish. A sensitivity setting of 99 is possible but I have found 70 provides very nearly the same depth without the noise. Where this detector really excels is target separation and identification. I first used the F75 at a school I had been hammering for years. The first day I noticed the detector would signal a coin and immediately signal a pull tab. The signals were consistent and repeatable. I dug it and was disappointed to find a pull tab. Running the F75 over the empty hole produced a loud crisp high tone and, digging deeper, a bit to one side, found a 1964 quarter. Consistent, repeatable signals really are the key. One more thing. I noticed that sometimes I would get a good signal and dig down only to find a tab. Then I began to notice that when trying to pinpoint the object with the F75, the location would shift 3-4 inches. First, I would sweep the coil one way and pinpoint the object. Then coming at it from 90 degrees again it would pinpoint a different location. In every instance this was a tab. So far, coins do not shift and have always maintained their location. The F75 runs on just 4 AAA's and battery life is excellent. I would suggest a top quality set of headphones with this detector or you might miss deeper faint signals. All in all I really like the F75. It's light weight, powerful and accurately id's targets.

Works well
Dad loves it he has some back issues so being light weight is a blessing for him so far tho he has found nothing but a barrel and license plate

It was supposed to be one of the better detectors out there
It was supposed to be one of the better detectors out there. I found it a little intimidating. I was expecting it to be easier to set up.

Great detector, but not for the beginner!
Super metal detector - if you take the time to learn it! Download the manual and carry it with you.
