Mounted them in front of my trans cooler and ran to a switch to turn on during towing heavy loads in the mountains.

For auxiliary use only
Although these fans are cheap and easily available, they are nothing like the ones you will find on modern cars. I have not connected a meter yet but do not believe the 80w rating AT ALL. Installed one of these on my van for additional cooling and it moves significantly less air than a smaller 10" Summit Racing fan rated at the same power output.That said, the fan is very quiet and would work great (at least in the short term) for auxiliary cooling, engine-off cooling, etc. I would not recommend it for primary engine cooling or any application where reliability matters (I only used one so have a spare).
