A pleasant mix and variety of artists. But the vinyl isn't worth the extra cost over the CD
I'm mostly reviewing the vinyl for people who want to buy the album and aren't sure whether to spend the extra money for the vinyl version. But first, about the music itself: This is a fun collection of laid-back and mostly lesser known music that I think is inoffensive at worst and enjoyable (though not essential for most people) at best. Judge for yourself: you can stream the album on Spotify, TIDAL, etc, or listen to the track samples here. I give the music 3 1/2 to 4 stars and I don't think most people would regret spending $12 for the CD.But what if you're a vinyl enthusiast? The LP costs more than twice as much as the CD, is it worth it?In my opinion, no. I have the LP version and a good enough stereo system to tell the difference between really good sounding LPs, average ones, and poor ones. This is an average-sounding record. The pressing itself is quite good. The record is perfectly flat with no flaws. The problem is the audio of the master used to make this record. The audio master sounds as compressed as the CD or CD-quality FLACs of this recording. Basically, listening to the LP is like listening to the CD but with the potential of an LP's surface noise and pops and scratches.I love vinyl records, but they're less convenient than digital media for sure. And they cost a lot more. So I only recommend buying the LP if it sounds better. This LP doesn't, and isn't worth the money in my opinion. But the CD might be.

Pure Bliss
I first heard of this band way back in 2016 and I've got to say that I wasn't sure what to expect given their band name "BADBADNOTGOOD." At first, I thought it was just a random band that was making music, but it wasn't until I started listening to many songs by them that I knew that they weren't just any band. This album by them truly proves that, and the song that completely stands out is "In Your Eyes."A song so beautiful and so well crafted that can make any grown man cry.

Five Stars
An excellent jazz album; many tracks are collaborations with other artists, e.g., "In Your Eyes" with Charlotte Day Wilson.

Hip-Hopping Genres.
A great mixture of styles, from blues to hip hop with very good jazz as its backbone. I really like "Confessions pt 2", "Hyssop of Love" and "In Your Eyes". The album is solid and it was a wise idea to add a sax player to the group (hence the title 'IV'?).

A soulful, reflective and warming compilation
First things first, I think some of the reviews here are for the album IV, which was an earlier release from the band. The records are available in three different colours, standard black, white (limited to 500, and now sold out), and an orange version, available via VinylMePlease. The albums come with a download code for the mix and unmixed tracks in FLAC,WAC and MP3 formats, and a high quality Art Print. This is the latest instalment in a long running series, featuring tracks and artists who have influenced the compilers, for more info visit LateNightTales.co.uk.The band set out to create a soundtrack for reflection and meditation, and it is instantly accessible thanks largely to tracks by The Chosen Few and their cover of People Make The World Go Round, Esther Phillips Home Is Where The Hatred Is, Delegations Oh Honey and Charlotte Day Wilson's Work, to name just a few of my own personal favourites, but there is a far greater depth too, to most of the other tracks, that will make you want to revisit it again and again. Kiki Gyan's Disco Dancer and Donnie and Joe Emerson's Baby deserve a special mention, given that I had never heard either before, and there is an exclusive cover version by Badbadnotgood of Andy Schauf's "To You."The final track is a recital by Lydia Lunch, called You,Me and Jim Beam, and this too deserves a special mention here, simply exquisite. They have crafted a soulful, reflective, and warming compilation, that's perfect to relax and unwind to.

Modern Fusion
The first album I've bought by BBNG and it ticks most boxes. Sort of modern jazz rythms fused with electronica, though they would probably hate that description!

Another LateNightTales Great CD Collection
Great collection of various artists picked by this very cool Canadian jazz band. There is also a download code inside CD cover for mp3, wav and flac files - mixed version (as on cd) + individual songs.
