Malcolm Lowry's Volcano : myth symbol meaning Hardcover – 1 Jan. 1978

This book will enrich my reading of Lowry's masterpiece. Knowledge of the symbolism and references to the Bible, various religions, and literary giants (Dante, Shakespeare, Virgil, etc) makes the book even more fascinating!!!! I read the novel years ago and did not appreciate all the allusions, metaphors and poetry. Under the Volcano deserves much research and more than a couple of readings. It truly is a 20th century literary giant!!!!
