Most recent updates written at the bottom.Detailed review ahead! I have been doing my own powder dip nails for about 7 months and I have been using Kiara Sky products for most of that time. They are fabulous products once you know how to use them well. The most important tips I have learned are below.1) LOOK UP THE COLOR ONLINE FIRST! This is by far the most important thing I have learned. Many of the colors look very different in real life than the tiny color swatch shown on Amazon or even the Kiara Sky website. I found this out the hard way with a very bright pink color I probably would not buy again! If you look at Kiara Sky's Instagram account or Google Images you can usually tell how the colors actually look when they are on. I have provided pictures of the colors that I own in direct and indirect sunlight for reference. I also highly recommend buying plastic nail sticks to test the color on before you use them on your own nails. They are very cheap and are good for reference when people ask what colors you have.2) Watch YouTube tutorials for tips and take it slow. There are many details that take time to perfect if you are a beginner like I was. Specifically, being careful to not get powder on the skin around the nail or too close to the cuticle is something that you wouldn't necessarily think about at first but makes a huge difference in the overall visual appeal and longevity of the nail. Watching as many videos as you can to get tips about little things like that really helps.3) Build your supplies over time! Buying your own nail supplies is an expensive investment however worth it in the long run in my opinion. There are products you don't need in order to get started that you may want to invest in over time in order to make your manicure look more professional. The three products that I invested in that I believe make the largest difference would be a nail drill, a get top coat, and an LED light. A drill helps both with putting your nails on as well as taking them off. I bought a $20 drill on amazon that came with plenty of attachments as well as a manicure set. This is helpful to drill down your nails before you put your top coat on so they do not become too thick and it helps to get the top coat off when it is time to soak them off. A gel top coat and LED light make a huge difference in the overall appearance and is one of the things I most highly recommend investing in when you have the money. They ensure your manicure has a beautiful shine which lasts for weeks. I bought the Sparkle and Co. top coat and the SUNUV nail lamp and love them both.In short, Kiara Sky products are very well made and I would highly recommend them! They take some time to perfect but overall they are wonderful.UPDATE 3/25/2020: It has now been over a year and a half that I have been using Kiara Sky products to do my own nails at home. I can truly say that you only get better at doing your nails with this product over time. The more you practice, the better your nails look. My nails now look consistently professional and I get compliments all the time. I have also started doing my family’s and friends nails when I have time to save them money. My mother used to go to the salon every three weeks and has not gone in over a year since I do them for her now. The startup cost can be high- however given the time that I have used this kit, I have no doubt saved hundreds of dollars for both myself and my family by doing them at home rather than going to a salon every two/three weeks. These nails also stay on 3+ weeks which makes them low maintenance.I have added new pictures of colors I have purchased since my initial review. On these new colors you can see a number written in sharpie on the bottom of the container. I use these numbers to match the container with the plastic sample stick. I highly recommend doing some kind of system like this if you do end up buying colors which are similar to one another so that you can tell them apart.Overall- I still love them! Don’t give up if you are still learning, you will get better!

Was so excited to receive the Tahitian Princess nail dip. Waited patiently. Opened mailbox. Package was flat. I was perplexed. Shouldn’t be flat. Should be a fat round jar of sparkling pink awesomeness. Walk into the house. Curiosity peaked as I tore into the package. Wtf is a cat twig? Oh wait, it’s the new cat nip. Call amazon. Lady doesn’t understand. Yes I received a package, but it’s cat nip, not nail dip. Disappointment ensues because amazon can’t send out another one because this is a 3rd party seller. One tiny, salty tear of Tahitian Princess memories never made gathers in the corner of my eye. Instead of being knuckle deep in mesmerizing pink sparkle, I’m chest deep disappointment and confusion. I don’t have cats, but I do have finger nails. Is the universe trying to tell me something? Should I be getting my kids a cat for Christmas? Does a higher power want me to chew off my nails and be a cat person?

Another gorgeous dip powder from Kiara Sky! This is a gorgeous raspberry color. I actually originally did this manicure about five days ago, but the manicure lacked some of its usual shine and luster as I was in a rush to get to a hockey game with my husband and did not completely file/buff off that top layer of clear powder before brushing on the top coat 🙄 (to all of you out there upset because your finished mani is a bit dull, be sure you are filing each nail completely after dipping into the final clear coat and brushing on the sealant) otherwise the true color will be dulled by the residual clear powder. I went back today and filed thoroughly. The shine is amazing, and I could not be happier with the pretty, feminine raspberry color. I recommend this color. It is fun and oh so girly!!!

Ordered Bare With Me and it’s a beautiful nude color. Because it’s so hard to tell the true color just by looking at the jars, I’m including a photo of it on my nails.

LOVE THIS COLOR! I wear it all the time now. Looks natural from afar but it is beautifully sparkly up close. Very transparent so you can layer it over any other color or wear it on its own. Lately I have layered it over pure white tips for a glittered french manicure look.

I have been using the Kiara Sky system for about 2-3 months now. I LOVE IT!!! I originally bought this color for my sister-in-law as I do her nails too, and I am not a huge fan of nude nails for myself. I loved hers so much I decided to try it out on my nails and I am in love!! I used Tahitian Princess (my most favorite color) on my ring fingers! My nails grow so nicely now and I no longer have to worry about them breaking!

The product works as intended and arrived as described (brand new), but the image colour (compared to the colour received) is vastly different. This colour is more a very dark purple/plum colour. It appears to be a bright purple in the container, but when applied is very dark. Tip: Google image the colour of the dip power prior to purchase.

This is a gorgeous colour, I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it. Also super finely milled and easy to apply. I was also impressed at the amount of powder you get. I did 3 coats on each finger, and my mom’s as well, and you can barely tell that I’ve used it. I did 3 coats but you can definitely get away with 2. It’s been a week and there are no chips or scuffs. I’m really impressed!

Absolutely love the color! Super easy to use dip system but it takes practice and patience! 3rd time doing it and pretty happy with the results! Definitely sticking with Kiara sky products even when salons reopen ! Picture is going on 3 weeks after doing them !
