...just... o. my. gawd.
...i'm giving these things 5 stars because i don't want to hack them off and have them come after me...it is -not- the peppermint that you have to worry about... it's the garlic......soon as i opened up the pouch -foom- no more vampires in the whole county... (that fierce.)...in a very rural area, i have two put into the engine bays of two vehicles parked side-by-side -we'll see how this goes--the guy who recommended them (also no the same property) when i told him i put one in each passenger space? had a look of absolute horror '...no, under the hood is all you need, they cannot get into the passenger area...' (glad i removed them from there, the smell was unreal.)wear gloves (seriously) wear. gloves.(i didn't i've washed my hands 3x's using strong cleaner... i'm just going to order new hands on amazon (the smell is that serious).the main aroma: peppermint and garlic... which... as much as i like both of these scents -at this intensity?you could probably crack a bulldozer in half.i hope they work... the only thing stronger has got to be some sort of spent nuclear fuel......you will deliberately open up cans of cat-food -just- for the fresh air...

2 Days and the pests were gone
One day while in sitting on the throne in my guest bathroom I could hear either mice or a rat in my wall, it sounded like it was just right there on the other side of the tub. I read ways to get rid of them, some of which called for removing drywall in the room. Then I saw these little jewels and for that price I had to give them a try. I had a small opening which closely lined up with where the noise was coming from, put one of these bags on a straightened coat hanger and lowered it down into the vicinity of the problem. In two days the noise stopped and hasn't been back since. Worked for me; I would recommend wearing disposable plastic gloves before handling though, those little pouches are pungent. I have not had any of the mint-garlic odor inside of the house. I would highly recommend giving these things a try.

WARNING to those with kids/pets: THIS PRODUCT IS TOXIC
Update 4 weeks later: This product has to be toxic. I have not been able to get the smell out of my house and I've had a headache (I don't get headaches! ) since I used this product. I know it's caused by the product because my headache eases up when I leave the house and comes back every time I come home from work/errands. It's been four weeks and I cannot invite anyone to my house because I don't want to make them sick, too. I can't go in the basement at all - I just start gagging all over again.I contact a cleaning company who came to inspect the basement and they will cost $300. That's expensive, so I've decided to do this myself. THEY ADVISED ME TO WEAR A SUIT, AN N95, GLOVES AND GOGGLES to deal with this problem because they were obviously freaked out by the pungency of the smell as well and the way in which it activates your gag reflex.I reported this to Amazon and they did not take me seriously. They threw $100 at me to shut me up. I repeatedly explained that I think this product is dangerous, and if I hadn't disposed of it within 20 minutes of opening it, my symptoms probably would have been much worse. I don't need the money - I need Amazon to protect its customers.I am genuinely concerned about this product being around people, but especially pets and children. I understand that it was possibly a bad batch, but you might be the customer who receives the bad batch. This experience taught me a lot: I already knew Amazon was highly unethical, but this blatant disregard for concerns over a dangerous product in favor of continued profits speaks volumes about Amazon's negligence and greed. I kind of turned a blind eye because I love the convenience of Amazon. But now that I know Amazon will not protect your kids from a dangerous product, I really can't turn a blind eye anymore. I will be canceling my Prime account. I feel this is the right thing to do. I will also be warning everyone I know of the fact that sometimes, Amazon sells dangerous products and does nothing to protect its customers.Please. Be careful. Wear PPE.Original review:Have you ever bought that weird thick gooey liquid that you squirt around a yard or basement to keep pests away. Often advertised as having coyote pee or rotten egg extract ? Some version of that rotten extract is in this product. Iām sure of it. Other reviewers say the garlic is what smells bad - and donāt get me wrong the garlic is overpowering and disgusting, but there is something else in the product that produces a nausea and gagging effect.I put all the packets in my basement and came back upstairs. I noticed I couldnāt get the smell off my hands. I scrubbed three times, first with soap, then with a gentle cleaning product, then with straight up diluted bleach (please donāt do this-it is not good for you). Then I notice the smell upstairs (through the vents) and Iām like oh god thatās bad. So I go back to the basement and when I opened the door I gagged so hard I threw up a little. I couldnāt believe it I kept gagging uncontrollably - that hasnāt even happened to me in the presence of dog poop. So I ran away lol. Got tongs and a plastic bag, gulped a huge breath of fresh air from outside and then ran back into the basement to collect the bags without touching them and threw them in the OUTSIDE trash bin.Something rotten - like actual rot- is in this product. I bet it works GREAT! But unfortunately it also works on humans. I am currently sick to my stomach and I have a headache. Iāve got the windows open to air out. And I barely even HAVE a gag reflex so Iām very confused and unsettled.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you are putting it outside very far from your house when the smell can never get back to you.

Need a House B.O Killer when using
Have tried everything over the years to get rid of rodents safely as we live in the Forest. Every trick, humane cages, natural deterrents, etc. So far, these pouches have been working quite nicely. Only a few mice have been getting in since & if I could stomach using more pouches at a time, think I could rid the place of the mice permanently. May want to use gloves when opening the package. Individual Packs inside are very oily and about the size of a Quart tea bag. Hard to gauge value as they seem expensive & stink yet accomplish what we all want them to do. I may try injecting pure peppermint oil to the overwhelming garlic smell. Outside of the garage and separate Laundry Room, have only put in two closets in the back entry way and one under a cabinet where they have been getting in. (which I rarely open) Each time I come and go and have to close up the House, upon returning I notice how bad it reeks. Turmeric and cinnamon in water on the stove helps if unable to open the windows.

I did not like the scent.
The scent is just too strong, I could not take it at home, not sure if they work for animals, but it definitely works to repel humans from the home. Maybe it works, but I just could not take it. I put them in the garage and the order was just too strong for me. Gave it 3 stars because I am not sure if they work. Not for me.
