Second Chance is a beautiful, uplifting story
I have read this book several times and love the peaceful feeling I experienced. Such a touching reminder that a second chance is possible for all of us.

Extremely poorly written
I am the first to admit that to someone not familiar with he principals int his book,--and they are in NO way whatsoever unique to Mr Banks--this book could serve as a halfway decent, and certainly better than nothing, introduction to the simple concept that not only sums up this book--- "You don't experience life--you only experience your thoughts about life. And while you cannot change the external forces of life, you can change your attachment to the thoughts. Ie...do not believe everything you think! However, this book is really more of a pamphlet...you could read it in an hour. Secondly, it was written by a man who not only was not a writer, he had not aspirations of even becoming one. If you like reading a high school essay from an average student who stumbled upon a great idea, then this could work. But otherwise this is an attempt to jam a psychological lesson into a story in the most awkward manner I have ever seen in any book that was not self published and being sold from a cart at a local festival of some sort directly from the author. it really is that bad.And by the way, the end result is that Syd Banks may or may not succeed in convincing you to take your own thoughts less seriously...but he does not give you any actual methods or techniques to do so. Just a pointer in the general correct direction. No offense to Syd as his three principals are valid.

At just the right moment
This book came back to me just when I needed it most. Itβs wisdom had slowed me down and got me in a more reflective state of mind. Iβd recommend this for anyone who can benefit from calmer waters in their life / mind.

Profound Simplicity
I am so happy to see the re-issue of this precious book by the late Sydney Banks. The beauty and simplicity of this story have profoundly impacted countless lives. Mr. Banks' own life was dedicated to alleviating the suffering of humanity. This, the very first book he wrote, is a mystical, gentle journey in which the depth of what he found is shared. The power comes from the feeling conveyed, beyond the words that are written. It is a treasure that I pick up again and again, sometimes after months or even years, and each time I am inspired, filled with beautiful feelings, and new insights appear. It is especially touching, to me, that so many people in jails and prisons have been awakened to their own wisdom in reading Second Chance--and have found a true second chance for themselves. Highly recommended--a story to read slowly, for a feeling; a chapter, a page, or even a paragraph can be enough to fill you up.

The beautiful journey
Great continuation of my spiritual journey and universal mind. The journey put into words for my thoughts to follow and expand

Great book read in a few hours life changing
This is a book with much wisdom and hope. Once I started had to read it all in one seating. Wishing you all the understanding within the pages.

Lovely, Sweet Book
This is such a lovely book! It tells the story of a man who, beset by many personal troubles, learns to taste the sweetness of the moment and to "be here now" for the first time in his life. By learning to change the focus of his attention from time to the eternal aspect of life, he resolves his troubles from the inside out. Highly recommended!J Matthews, author of "Truth Is"

Disappointing
Sydney Banks has a valuable message but it was poorly conveyed within this book.I requested a Kindle refund as I found little of value here. Such a shame.
