It truly does work and is worth every penny!
If your looking for the easiest, cheapest way to mount a foil (surf or kite) onto a surfboard, SUP, skimboard or even a softboard, look no further. The crazy industrial strength 3M adhesive ensures a solid bond to whatever you are mounting it on. Make sure you follow the instructions; clean, sand, clean again and wait the recommended cure time. I’ve installed three of them so far (1 blackball beater, 1 surfboard and 1 SUP) and they have yet to come off or even show the slightest signs of the peeling up. Check out the 3M material data sheet on this adhesive on the 3M website.*I was not paid or given any free product (s) to post or write this review.*

Great in theory
Was so excited for this... bought two of these, followed directions to a T. Waited 24+ hours to cure. Put one on a 5’6 al me trick surfboard, the other on an8’6 paddle board. Third time out, popped up fell, got back on the board, immediately realized the mount along with brand new naish thrust surf foil were gone. Swam to the point of exhaustion with eyes open in San Diego ocean to no avail. $150 mount plus brand new foil ($1200+) GONE. Great in theory, costly in practice. If anyone reading this is considering this product, I highly discourage it.

Surprisingly Strong!
I am still waiting to test this product, as I am building my own foil. A friend of mine has three foil mounts, though. They seem to hold up really well!

didn’t work for me, stuck on a tow board ...
didn’t work for me, stuck on a tow board and got up for 1 min then... rip smack bang it unglued after 3 days of curing the glue and such. Been trying to get in contact and have had no luck. In America if it don’t work, we want our money back!

Bad design
Bad design that broke the first time I used it. I lost my new Takuma foil, dinged the SUP, and lost over $2000. Although the FoilMount stayed attached to the board, all four T-nuts ripped out of the FoilMount. This product is made from unreinforced ABS plastic. On one side two of the T-nuts broke the plastic, and on the other side the plastic flexed too much and the T-nuts pulled out. This is not a professionally engineered product, and it will break if a significant amount of lateral torque is applied to the FoilMount, either from a hard turn or if you fall in waves over 3 feet.

installing. Step on your feet. Leave for 24 hours.
Use SUP,WindSurf.No problem.

The plastic track is the weak point, not the adhesive.
I thought I’d give this a try with an old windsurfing board. The moment I got up on foil the track blew out and my foil sank to the bottom of the bay. The adhesive is stronger than the plastic since all 4 track bolts ripped through. I spent weeks SCUBA diving and even purchased an underwater camera with no luck. It would have been so much cheaper just to buy a windfoiling board, which I ended up doing anyway.
