We LOVE these tracks. A great variety of tracks that allows you to do pretty big train builds. My 4 year old plays with these every single day. Double sided (except for the specialty track pieces). They connect to a basically any set you have. We had a set from target they fit into seamlessly. High quality, sturdy tracks.

This track works well with the track of a different brand that we already own. It is nice to have the varying style of bridges, compared to the other track we previously purchased. It is sturdy, stable, perfect in size to match other brands, and a great way to start a track set or make one much larger. Our child has been using these track pieces since he was 3 1/2, is now 4 1/2 and still has a wonderful time creating new track paths for his trains to take. I doubt he will outgrow this toy set for at least another 2 to 3 years or more.

This is like a puzzle and an endless game in one. All sorts of ways to set up the tracks and I’m sure you can purchase more train cars for this. I plan to once she gets more into it. We are figuring out how the pieces connect now and then I’m sure the next stage will be here creating all sorts of cool train courses. I see her using this for years. Well worth the purchase. Seems to be good quality too

My 3 yr old grandson love these train and trains they go on they stay on track fine and occupies him for a good time

Let me start by saying my son has had the 42 pc. Wild Ridge Train set with the mountain lid for over a year and a half now. He will be 6 next January and despite all of his electronics, he still has an unbridled fascination with his trains. My main reasoning for getting this expansion was twofold: to further help him develop his critical thinking, creativity & imagination by giving him more options & directions in which to build and to also consolidate his toy collection by getting rid of some of the other increasingly lesser used train carcasses strewn throughout my house.Price-to-value is an important ratio to me for any purchase. For an additional $26 on my initial $30 investment, I more than doubled his overall pc. count. The two sets are completely compatible and less likely to break or need replacing as much as his other non-wooden toys. Of course, he'll eventually grow up; his interest will wane and gravitate towards other more complex & expensive things. Until then, he will always have me to nurture his otherwise uninfluenced love for all things locomotive.

Main reason for getting this was the amount of track. A lot of other sets boast a certain amount of pieces, but some of those have a lot of scenery pieces. It's good quality, and value for money. It fits with our various other wooden track sets (bigjigs/IKEA/John Lewis)
