I was so excited for this book because I love aquariums, and it did not disappoint. The Girl Who Built an Ocean is the true story of Jeanne Villepreux, a seamstress turned scientist whose curiosity about the ocean and its creatures led her to inventing the very first aquarium. This book is gorgeously illustrated with incredible detail. And author Jess Keating's prose flows effortlessly from page to page, telling a remarkable tale. Highly recommended!
