Qiilu 5 Speed Car Gear Shift Knob Boot Gearstick Gaiter Kit Manual/Auto Gear Shifter Boot Cover Replacement for 6 MK5 MK6 2005-2014

So I have a 2008 JETTA 2.5. Manual obviously. The boot was getting pretty worn and dingy so I decided to get a new one and to get it off on these Jetta's you have to take off the shift knob. I decided to go aftermarket, I am 31 years old I didn't want some flashy 8 ball or neon blinking light. Just something practical. Anyways ordered a universal boot and knob and it was a nightmare. I spent over an hour trying to cut the skirt on the boot to the exact length then using clue and staples as instructed and it just would not fit perfectly and snap into place. Ended up throwing that one in the trash and ordered this part. Should have done it in the beginning. It comes assembled and all you have to do is slide the knob over, crip it and snap the boot down. Took 3 minutes and looks great. Can adjust the knob down further than stock as well to give it a shorter throw when shifting. WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF I COULD.

Great budget friendly replacement. Install was simple and it fit as it should. I was pleasantlysurprised, it doesn't feel as cheap as I expected and I think it will last a while.

The trim is somewhat low quality, but trading the knob and boot to the factory trim eliminated that issue. Made the interior complete again.

The product itself smells like oil. This could not be removed even after 10+ rounds of washing across 3 days.The base does not fit. It is 1) too large at the front side, preventing it from sitting all the way down 2) the clip-in tabs are 7.5mm too short, preventing it from ever clicking in.The assembly wiggles when inserted over the shaft because it does not have the internal ridges on the internal black plastic piece that the OEM model does.The knob itself is smaller than OEM by at least 1cm. The knob is also harder than the OEM. Also, the knob's top badge does not fit into the OEM model + the badge has slight defects in printing.I will say though, the gaiter is decent quality. It lacks the grain of the OEM model, but it is sufficient.Ultimately, it is not worth it because the shifter smells like oil and does not fit. Buy OEM.

Fits well and looks good. Great for the price.

Easy install and really finished off the clean interior. Only negative I can say is that the pinch ring broke while crimping. Can’t complain too much as you get what you pay for. I just reused the one off the oem shifter, which is much higher quality

I ordered it then that day the one from China showed up, so cancelled my order.So aside from the SUPER SLOW shipping the product is awesome. Fits perfectly.. kinda of a pain in the a** to get the old one off, but dang this thing is nice and clean looking.

This is such a simple change that makes the interior of a car look so much nicer. I bought this shift knob and boot to replace the old worn out leather boot in my car. Installation is easy, as all you need to do is pull up on the plastic trim piece, cut the metal clip that holds the shift knob to the metal shift lever, pull the old one off, and install using the reverse order.

Quello della foto è già quello nuovo che ho appena montato, praticamente impossibile riconoscere che non è l'originale Volkswagen che è durato 14 anni sulla mia Golf 5 (anno 2007).Molto molto soddisfatto dei soldi spesi!!Che è circa un quinto dell'originale..consigliatissimo!!
