Sbs 40 medicated skin cream 100ml tube

I used to work out in the cold, and between working with chemicals and washing my hands frequently, my hands would dry and chap really bad. I'm talking about sandpaper skin and split, bleeding knuckles that burn and sting at the bend of a finger. I tried every lotion and skin cream I could get my hands on, and they really didn't do anything. They were just greasy and wouldn't even absorb into the skin much, but rather after rubbing it in forever, you would lose most of it the very next time you wash your hands. A friends father who is a machinist gave me a tube of SBS-40 to try, and with one application my skin was hydrated and flexible, and I could make fists without any pain or further tearing of the skin. It absorbs into the skin quickly, and remains effective even after washing your hands once or twice. With continued use it even seemed to speed up the healing process. This year, at the first sign of dry skin, I ordered SBS-40 from Amazon, and with one, maybe two applications a day (depending on conditions), I completely avoided dry hands through the rest of winter. Anyone who complains about the smell of it is basically complaining that it's not fragrant. The smell is not so bad at all. Many women probably would hate the smell, but most men wouldn't care.

Where I used to work they gave this out upon request for the winter months. Used at work all winter and was the only skin cream that would keep my dry skin under control!!! Bought these tubes for my son for Christmas present!. his skin is already in better condition!!!!

I used to get this at the store room at my old place of employment. I am not a lotion guy, but this is the only lotion I can stand. It disappears or evaporates after a minute or two not leaving your hands a greasy mess.

Like that it dries immediately and is not greasy. Absorbs quickly. I work in the concrete business and it keeps my hands from drying out and cracking. A really good product for extremely dry skin.

Tried it on my hands as nothing else seemed to work well with extremely dry skin and heard about it from a friend... WOW ! Fantastic !

I know this is not what it is meant for but we heard from some lineman that this is what they use. The gnats were horrible in the Midwest this year and nothing was working. We got this for outside activities and it did seem like we didn’t reapply as much as we were with other stuff. It doesn’t not smell which I thought was odd so not sure why the bugs don’t like it

I have a sensitive nose and find this cream pungent. Well, it can open up sinuses. As for its effectiveness: It has been a hot dry summer here in the central valley of CA, big time drought, and my skin has suffered with dryness too. My hands are flaking, particularly on the knuckles. A little of the cream goes a long way; when I first used it, I wound up spreading it up to my elbows - not necessarily a bad thing. But it appears I need something more heavy duty than this to heal my hands. I also tried using it as a barrier cream, am 77, have skin folds, and that was not successful either as I now have another yeast infection. However, to be fair, I also have diabetes, albeit very well controlled with insulin, and any excursion with sugar (think ice pops), even if controlled for, can lead to new yeast infections. End result: I will not be buying this again.

I was concerned that this might not be identical to the SBS 40 I used 10-20 years ago, as the packaging was different, it was a vastly reduced size and it seemed the mfg was somewhat different than I recalled. I only ordered one tube because I didn't want to get stuck with and possibly not be able to return more than one. I still had an ancient original tube so I was able to compare both active and inactive ingredients: Close enough with only minor adjustments. On first use I concluded it's the same great product-----its healing properties are still potent and it still applies and settles in well. This was recommended all those years ago by a friend who worked in a potato processing plant. It was standard equipment there, a large wall-mounted pump dispenser was located in multiple work areas. I worked with a woman whose husband was a building contractor and he said this was the best product for his Winter work hands that he'd ever used. SO, See, It isn't just me who loves and trusts this stuff. It is an A++++++ PRODUCT.
