Pretty good cam. Directions are in "Chinese English" (numerous grammar errors). With that being said, the instruction may as well be written in ancient Sanskrit. The date and time stamp always self resets to default (1/1/2016) which makes it impossible to have a video correspond to the real date and time. Also there are a bunch of A's (AAAAA) at the bottom of the screen for no apparent reason. When I tried to set custom settings, the camera kept recording up to 8 seconds and then a 5 second break and then 8 and 5 second increments thereafter. All in all it does record if you use default setting and that's it. No proximity sensor, g sensor, or parking monitor, etc. can be used without the camera malfunctioning. In my opinion this review is the most accurate assessment of this dash cam.UPDATE: camera now only turns on automatically about 75% of the time. When this happens, I have to push the power button and then it will come on. Cigarette lighter outlet is a solid connection if I'm able to power on manually. According to the manufacturer, the six A's (AAAAAA) obnoxiously located on the display screen are for the license plate of your own vehicle to be entered, although this makes no sense as license plates in the U.S. have seven characters.

So great, I bought another one for wife's car.Great build quality, feels solid and buttons well designed. Awesome they included such a long car charging cable, as I can use the charge port in back of car.Videos just work out of box, no technical knowledge necessary. Turns on and off automatically when using charge cable.

This dashcam worked for only few weeks and whenever I turn it on shuts off itself. I’m so disappointed trying to reach out to their support so far nor response. Video quality is super good during the day but at nigh is just a joke.

camera section does not attatch properly and shakes continually

This is the second camera I purchased, for my other car. I was hoping they would work identically however, it took a few tweaks here and there to get it working. Main issue was memory problems with SD card. I had purchased the exact SD cards for both and the second camera required multiple formatting and when the SD card fills you get an error. You simply have to format the card again. I still enjoy both cameras and moreover the fact I have video coverage in the event of an incident.

I haven't used this camera yet because I don't understand the manual. It is clearly a Chinese to English translation fail. The words don't form sentences and even worse, make no sense at all. I read it over and over trying to figure out what the hell they were talking about but had no luck. I guess I'm gonna put it in my car and push buttons until I figure out what they do. If you are tech savvy then by all means buy this camera. If you rely on instructions to operate things don't bother. You'll never figure it out with this manual.

OK, I've had this for 17 days. No issues with it concerning its function. My rating is based on it's function relative to it's price point. If your looking for Go Pro performance buy a Go Pro. This does the job. The claim of 1080p, in my opinion, is exaggerated. Again, for the price, it does a great job! It will give you the video proof that the idiot cut you off them claim you were tail gating. Details like licence plates and driver image only if they are very close. Don't want to break the bank but want a witness who doesn't blink. This is for you.

The media could not be loaded.  It's a nice starter dash cam but the video quality is just okay. It's very grainy and hard to see plates at night. The lighting is a bit dark. Not bad for the price you pay though.Update 4/24/2018: Now the camera doesn't even record. it'll pick maybe one or two videos out of a whole month of recording or what I thought was recording. When I put the micro sd in the computer to see the videos only one came up. Otherwise it didn't record anything else at all... dissapointed.
